Forgetting the Guy angle - true as it is without being down on the lad, great thread idea.

When getting hammered by whoever \"What a joy to be watching the quality of CCC footy at the KM\".

When getting hammered by whoever \"Our passing play and possession is sublime, hats off to SOD for playing the percentages\"

Okay, kak effort by me, am sure some of you kingwits can do better

The bloke doesnt even play and gets slated, what a fcuking joke. Chances are he probably wont be here next year so why not just give him a break.

If SOD (the manager we all wanted to stay) believes in him to play who are we to argue.

If he plays in a Rovers shirt, he is a Rovers player and gets my support as that is the man SOD has chosen to play. If he has an off game then we have to trust in SOD to sort it, not slate him. It beggers belief why he would even want to play for the idiots that boo him on to the pitch when he does come on, not to mention its an embarrassment for the club. Look how bad it looked for Forest yesterday, when they did the same!

Good,Bad or ugly he's a rovers player and should get the support like any other member of the team, until SOD/ROK say different?

Spot on! He is a Rovers player, chosen to play by SOD, who was backed by the fans and John Ryan, so booing Lewis Guy is booing John Ryan, and that then implies why the hell do you support the Rovers?

Yesterday I do recall an email on FLS by a forest fan that said \"just to say to Billy we were not booing him, but his substitution\" or one saying they are disgusted at Forest fans argueing over a substitution. So we are not the only team who treats such a great manager like shit then just not make sense.

And for the record I asked for Guy to be subbed on. I think it is unfair how he is a Doncaster Rovers player, and billy sharp isnt, but yet who gets more praise? If Billy misses the target he gets an applause and a song, and thanked for the effort, guy does likewise, he gets about 3 people clapping and booed and groaned at, talk about priorities. Sort it out lads...

I too heard the forest fans emails last night, apparently fighting amongst themselves for the substitute booing of fans. One guy actually said that they weren't booing him just the sub :S.

At least we dont have SOD having a go at our fans for booing Guy, like Billy Davies did. Although I wouldnt blame him one bit, as to boo Guy is to boo the dream team in management.

washyrover, if it was light hearted thread, it would have been better to start it with something other than how you did mate. Such a controversial subject was always going to get peoples backs up ;)

I remember when I was a lad, my old man took me to watch Watford v Everton at Vicarage Road (being our nearest \"big\" team)  He was called over the tannoy to go to the nearest steward.  My step mum had gone into labour.  All disappointed I asked if we had to go to which he replied \" Nah she'll be ages yet\"

One of the best lines i heard on the stands was when Kirkwood started at Rovers and came on as a sub.
Some bloke shouted as loud as he could \"come on lad spread ya legs and show ya class\".

One thing you definately dont hear is \"lets have a big warm welcome for the biggest signing for Doncaster Rovers Mirsad Bubalovic\" talk about jinx

Washy, comments in your first two posts: \"wonder why\" and \"155 games and 21 goals\" are witness to the fact that your intention was something other than fun.
So, now you're whining about a couple of posts being abusive towards you.  You don't find it funny?  My guess is Lewis Guy wouldn't find your views funny either. 'If you can't take it old cock, don't dish it out'.

Interesting stat too! Guy (everyone's least favourite player) 155 games 21 goals.
Copps - quite our star - 170odd games 21 goals (hmm not much difference there then).
Indeed the other season when our Afro Goal Machine was scoring goals for fun - Lewis scored just as many goals (a whopping 8, I think) and was ritually hung drawn and quartered from all sides.

As far as I am aware, Lewis is our second longest serving player behind Copps, and altho Lewis gets stick from many different sources in my opinion he's not our worst player, and is obviously a cog in SO'Ds system that fits.

If that continues to rankle with some fans, so be it, but lay off the players on matchday, and get behind 'em all!

If Guy and Wilson were to score the goals on Tuesday that beat the fowls - we'd all love 'em - funny old game eh? :)  :P

Not that interesting when you realise that how good a player is is NOT down to how many goals per game he scores even if he is an out and out striker, its more down to things like what a player gives to the team overall with things like how hard he works, how he helps to break down play and how many assists he gives, how well he works with other members of the team.Sod said himself in Post match interview after the Florist game that when Billy had his short lean spell without scoring that he was not to worry because \"He gives so much too the team whether he scores or not\".Now whether Guy gives so much too the team is another arguement that I too don't not want to go down again. And yes whoever Sod picks whether we agree or not we should give our full support while they are on the pitch.

My comments are not directed at you, but I ju8st saw people giving there views on the guy debate, so I voiced mine, before I commented my post I had read yours and was aware that you made nothing of it, just a harmless comment that you expected people to follow on from.

and in my reply of the thin white duke I was also just stating what I beleive but not aimed at you again, just the booguywagon in general, your post just seemed to be in the quote, and for that I apologise.
