Now then you heathens of the mobile phone world. Get thee sens an Iphone.
Proper bo man, I tell thee. Testing this bad boy and it's onekick ass phone
-
Just don't put it in your back pocket and let it drop ont a tiled floor when you sit down, like doll's head here did...
-
I love my iphone too! My favorite app is called Shazam which allows you to put the phone to the radio and it will 'listen' and identify any song. Quite amazing. Sometimes it can't, but rarely. Great for new music though.
Battery time runs out quicker if you use 3G, but overall great phone, internet and ipod in one. How did I ever live without it before?? :-)
-
Any tips appreciated folks re usage, cheap apps etc etc
Many thanks.
I'm signing off. All the kids are on sleepover. Time for mrs cr to feel

Tips:
Have a charger everywhere.
I have one at home, one in the car, and one at work. You'll need them!
-
Don`t drop it, the screen breaks easy £140 repair bill, also if it starts going wonky like mine did, don`t fcuk about with O2, take it straight to apple shop in meadowhall, they`ll change straight away, if it`s still under warranty
Get the free sky sports app, you can get all the latest scores while you`re at the footy

Apparently you can get Gaydar on it. This lets you know when there are other pink oboe players in your area and how far away they are. Ideal for cottaging.
Before anyone gets any funny ideas I only know about this because I was watching an old episode of Top Gear on Dave and Stephen Fry was talking about it.
There, my secret's out. I watch Top Gear on Dave. How am I going to tell my mum?

Nah! Ill pass thanks. Nowt more than a glorified status symbol that costs a small fortune to buy/ small fortune on monthly contract, thatll be out of date in 12 months.
Funnily enough, my Mobile, which is free because work provide it, does everything I need ie. the ability to make and receive calls.

I've seen Gaydar, my best chum uses it...My god the chaps on there aren't shy!!!

Get on Ifooty, theres only a few that posts but we could do with more from here. Its a footy app where you can have banter with the opposition fans plus you get all the over info and its free.
Other essentials for me are RBMA Radio, Flixter and sadly now facebook.
Depends what your into, ive got loads of music creation apps, its almost a pocket studio, ideal for playing around with ideas on the move.
If you like that sort of thing check out apps such as beatmaker, technobox, bebot etc

Quality mate.
TWD. Have to agree with Filo. Purely in jest, you sound tight as a gnats chuff. The sort that wouldn't part with the steam off his shit. You don't seem to like paying for owt from your posts. Do you have running water? Did you turn the gas off the cooker once Mrs TWD tossed the pancakes in the air on Tuesday?
Subway for supper was it Cussy...?
No Dear. It was Fish.
Thanks for the updates gang. This IPhone has shown me New Road and even a Swansea and a London

Get insurance!!
I am on my 3rd one in less than 12 months, £10 a month for insurance and a £25 excess if you get it through o2, ring them up, they have a new one to you the next day. Sorted.

Would this be the same 'chum' who went on a dating site and said she likes watersports? I'm beginning to think you've got an alter ego Debs. ;)
-
Haha, I do have more than one friend jay..lol
-
Sweet Jesus JB.
You're not a sheet metal worker called Bert are you?
One that's into water sports and gaydar?
I've been trying to nail you for ages on here.
Let me get a bucket, as tears make their way down my cheeks.
I know all there is to know about the crying game,
I've had my share of the crying game,
First there are kisses (kisses), then there are sighs,

By the way, thanks for the tips y'all. I'm on IFooty now.
Can anyone tell me how I use one of my Acker Bilk tunes to make it a ring/message tone?
I'm stuck with the standard phone ones and want to bash some better stuff in.
Many Thanks

I preferred TWD's alter ego on the old forum, Amber. Much more positive than TWD, and best of all only came on the forum when we lost!
;-)
BTW, I'm developing an iPhone app at the mo. I dont have an iPhone though. The spec isnt good enough yet, so I'll stick with my HTC Touch HD.

Not iPhone related but has anybody else got an Nokia N97?
The battery life on mine is shocking and im not sure if thats just the way they are or if my battery is f****d.
-
Depends what you call shocking. If you are comparing it to a nokia \"brick\" that you'd charge once a fortnight, then yes, smartphones are shocking. If its every night without fail, then thats normal.
My Touch HD battery lasts 24 hours, with 3G internet, email, bluetooth, etc, all on solidly. My Tytn 2 I had before had to be charged twice a day. The technology is improving. The HTC Desire just announced looks the mutts nuts.

I had the N95 last phone around, it to had a very poor battery life. Aparently it takes so much power to run the computer inside the phone that the charge is pants. but then if the newer one is like my old one, you could get the connections and keypad to attatch it to a monitor and turn it into a real computer...think thats what I remember anyway.
If you go on the internet a couple of times a day with it your battery will decrease rapidly.
