Some mardy-arsed-t**t of an Owls fan on Football Heaven was mouthing off that Billy had handled the ball for the first goal. There is not the slightest appeal from either of the Wednesday players that were at the side of him.

moaning because they were outclassed :)

Gutted at having to miss this match due to a business engagement in London so many thanks for the link eastender - I've now watched it just the 15 times.
3 observations:
1. I've heard everyone drooling over Ward's overhead kick and I have to say that has to be THE perfect example of this particular acrobatic feat. Power, balance, symmetry, accuracy. Absolutely stunning.
2. What I hadn't heard anything of was the incredible tenacity, skill and sheer determination of Billy to carve out the cross that led to Wardy's wondergoal. Amazing.
3. Sulli's save from Tudgay was almost as spectacular as Ward's goal, and certainly as important. Tudgay is 6 yards out and hits the ball good and true - a stunning save by Sulli. That is the sort of crucial moment in a match that can lift your players and utterly demoralise the opposition.
God I wish I'd been there!

Sulli also got a touch to the first shot that hit the post.
