Title: Can we have a poll on ST Prices
Post by: DonnyBazR0ver on March 02, 2010, 07:41:42 pm
Can we set up a poll on here to gauge the reaction to the ST price increases ?

Just a simple question. Will you be renewing or buying a season ticket for next season ? YES or NO

Lets' run it for a couple of weeks and see what the results are. Hopefully this should be an early indication to the club how successful the pricing structure will be.

I think the poll should be:

1) I`m not against the price increase, but the timscale to buy early is wrong

2) I agree with the price increase and the timescales

3) I am opposed to any price increase

Those questions would split the votes into who doesn`t want to pay extra and those that understand the reasons for the increase

Yes I will be renewing only because thankfully I have a Football Barclaycard!! Phew lifesaver those things! I have no problem about the price increase at all we have been paying under the odds for 2 seasons now so was fully expecting the increase just not happy with the timescale!!

I`m not sure, reading through the numerous posts there`s people that are not happy about a price increase and there`s people that are happy about it but disagree with the timescale imposed, i thought we might be able to build a clearer picture with those questions.

And yes i will be renewing at the earlybird price

Yes

But how about extending the timescale till the end of April as a compromise

Yes I will be, and by the end of this month too :)

Option 1 for me too, the timescale is just too short for some of our fans to be in a position to renew.  Fortunately I will be able to renew at the end of the month, but I'm sure many won't and we incur the increased prices.

Should be more time for the current Category C holders, which I am not one of.

Yes and I agree with option 1. I'm 61 and still working so want to watch as long as I can before ealth or finances stop me making the 90 mile trip every game,

After the reply I got from the club today I am even more disgusted.

I cant afford to renew this month. Simple fact, and I refuse to pay the near on 50% increase for my season ticket if I do not renew this month.

And I wont be the only one.

If I treated my customers the same way, I would find myself down the job centre.

Thanks for responses boys, but I meant a poll on the side of the page, like the Man of the match thing, rather than a thread.

Are any of the moderators able to set it up if they think there is value in it ?

Thanks for putting this up.

I understand with this, we may strive for an extension on the timescales however, I hoped we would be able to achieve a reasonable reflection on those who will be renewing/buying and those that won't. JR will then have instant feedback and whether we have got it more right than wrong.

Personally, I'm not happy about how they've gone about it, but I will be renewing and hoping for a miracle that we lose few ST holders.

Last season, like most foresaw a drop in ST numbers but I had hoped more floating voters would top up with pay on the day etc. How wrong I was. It just shows that when the cycle is broken, then ST holders are very hard to replace.
