Does anyone know if these are going to be sent out? I know I can download the forms and the details off DROS, but not everyone has internet access.
Strikes me that if you are a STH without internet access, you are being given even less time to make the Early Bird deadline, which seems unfair.
-
do you realy thing they care about the fans of the club to have thought of that
-
If they haven't then we really ARE in the s**t!
-
Why you have to go through the process of filling in forms as an existing season ticket holder amazes me anyway.
Surely you should just be able to show up with your Season Ticket book and just renew it.....or would that be too easy??
-
I think that the main reason is that you have to sign to say that you agree by the terms and conditions. This covers loss of your season ticket due to abuse and or behaviour problems.
They always insist on that part being signed which is on page 2 of the application.
Seems a bit daft to me as well if you are renewing but with people sueing at the drop of a hat these days, they are probably just covering their backs.
-
I've not had chance to read the forum properly, but have other people received this letter from JR through the post? I was thinking the same thing, awaiting that more personal touch - the feeling that the letter from JR might actually be only for you and nobody else (even though we obviously know differently!). It's the little touches that go a long way.
I was honestly going to sit tight until my letter and forms arrived but now i'm not sure if they were ever sent. Can anyone enlighten me as well? Thanks!!

I can understand signing a form to agree to the T&Cs, what I don't understand is why you have to show proof of concessions every season. Surely once they have a copy of your birth certificate as proof of age that should be it, why do they need to see it every season? Do they think it is going to change any?
The filling forms aspect etc leaves a lot to be desired, they could themselves and the fans a lot of hassle, we nearly kill each other every renewal period over getting the right stuff together!!
-
How has the new season ticket offer been publicised to fans without the internet?
-
You would have thought we would be receiving letters, not everyone uses the internet, not everybody buys a Free Press.
It's now the 3rd of March and I bet there are still quite a few fans who wouldn't know about this until maybe the next home game against Derby on the 13th. That will be a shock to the system!
-
They're not even publicising it correctly using the internet.
If you visited the OS from today there is no indication of any season ticket news unless you are looking for it in the ticket section.
The welcome page (or whatever you want to call it), is advertising official text alerts ffs. How about a 'Watch Rovers in the Premiership for free' advert screaming at you instead?
There is nothing for the casual browser to alert them to anything new.
'JR's letter' has been pushed off of the front page news section altogether. For some reason someone seems to think a loan player playing for Engand U19's is more important than publicising the clubs biggest source of revenue.
It should be top story for the next 2 months, with the 'Super 6' (remember that?) offer as second story until the Derby game.
I haven't received any Redline email about season tickets either.
-
|I haven't recieved any Redline emails about anything at all for months and months now. I guess as I dodn't live up there so I'm not in the shop or the TO every day they think I@ve lost interest. Idiots.

Latr season Gartom acknowledged that not being able to renew online was a biggie, and he was going to follow this up.
A year on and the club is still on fag packet mode.
You agree to the T&Cs once you sign up for the first time, to renew, all you should need to do is put those details in, Debit Card, Credit Card, Paypal etc and job should be done.
-
Why are you all moaning? The glass is half full not half empty, blah blah blah.
Seriously, whats the point. DROS has been like it for the last 10 years. It will never change.
-
Oh for goodness sake Frosty! You'd get an awful lot more respect on here if you didn't persist in telling us all what we already know. Instead, try announcing your ideas for improving the situation. Have you never heard the phrase that every problem is an opportunity? Think about that for a minute: it's absolutely bloody true. Make it the opportunity for you to positively attempt to achieve something. For you to get your name in lights with each and every supporter of DRFC. Of you taking the first step to being our next but one Supporter Director of DRFC. Sniping from behind a keyboard will never achieve anything. Sorry, but it's getting really, really tiresome.
Cheers

Absolutely bugger all in the Free Press at all about Renewing Season Tickets/ prices. Well done Rovers - absolutely brilliant.
How the hell do we attract new fans to buy season tickets if we cant be bothered to advertise the fact properly?

I have suggested many things in the past both on this forum and to DRFC. Any suggestions to DRFC are either ignored or dismissed, so it comes a time when you think \"well, whats the point\".
Off the pitch, things haven't changed since our Conference days. Cock up after cock up, but the club will run things how they see fit, and obviously don't like being told that they are wrong.
I don't come on here looking for respect. I air my views and opinions. If people don't agree with them, then I don't really care. I'm not looking to have my name in lights or to be the next VSC chairman.
Like I have said elsewhere, its not a question of being negative, it is being realistic. If the club had done a better job with this season ticket fiasco, I wouldn't be airing negative views.
And Thinwhitduke, the fact that there isn't a story in the Free Press just goes to shows exactly how inept we are. I know a few season ticket holders who don't have internet access or just don't bother with forums or the official site. When do they get informed?

I came to the whole computer thing really late in life, well late for someone not that old anyway..lol
So many of the comments on this whole early bird scheme seem to hang on information to be found (or not as the case may be) on the internet.
Now, how did the club advertise changes in the time before the internet revolution? I know that going back x ammount of years we were in a completely different place to the one we now occupy in the CCC , but I can only assume there must have been season tickets back then too?
There days we all rely far to much on the web for our information. All well and good in theory, but in practice only as good as the people who are adding to the information.
Maybe we need to go back to basics somewhat. Perhaps the club needs to run a poster campaign in town.. if a deal could be cut with a local printers, perhaps with a deal for two way publicity, you know print our flyers and we will advertise you in the keepmoat?
perhaps this is where the supporters clubs like the Dearne valley and Tamara groups could help in distributing the information.
Putting information on public notice boards, and in pubs would go a long way to informing people too. (not that I'm saying pubs and football supporters go hand in hand you understand..) :)
I don't know, something has to be done I guess, because as Bob says from the things written on here it isn't the price hike so much that has caused so much angst, but the seemingly last minute introduction of it.

The point I am trying to make is that the club should be contacting ALL supporters. They obviously assume that everyone has internet access or knows about this forum.
A letter should have gone out a good month before season tickets go on sale to inform all season ticket holders in good time.
Why can't we get an explanation as to why this wasn't done?

Hey Frosty, here are a couple of numbers for you that might help.
0800 11 11
08457 90 90 90
The first is Childline, because I figure that you must have been abused as a child to have such an overwhelming hatred of everything………………
The second is the Samaritans, cause if you are feeling as bad as you portray on here…… you need some help man!
I have seldom seen anyone who can find fault in anything and everything all of the time – you could whine for bloody England. Lighten up man FFS – nobody owes you anything and if you don’t likey then piss off and darken some other board.

Ok Mr keyboard warrior.
Maybe we should all shut up and accept everything that happens. The club can't bother to market us properly. But its ok. If you dare to speak about the club in a bad light on this forum then you are shot down by muppets like yourself.
As i've said, its not a question of whining or being negative. Its a question of being realistic and the realism is the club make cock up after cock up and nothing is ever done about it. If they want more fans through the gates they have to take a look at themselves and get their own house in order.
Our management and players have performed miracles to get us to this level, backed of course by JR and the other money men. However, time needs to be invested to make sure the club performs to the same level off the pitch aswell. Sadly, this is where we fall a long way short of where we need to be.
As i've said, its not being negative, but merely stating how things are.
If you bother to read this, you will see that I have also put positived in with the \"negatives\" regarding how our players and management have performed, but I dare say that will go overlooked.

Never had myself down as a warrior - but hey, I'll accept what you say as you get really angry ............
I don't accept we should all shut up - just you.
I didn’t read much after that, but I am guessing you went into another rant ?

I know what point you are trying to make shagger. You've made it all week and millions of other downers about anything to do with Donny Rovers.
If you have emailed the club....fine. If you are still not happy phone up and speak to the CEO. Better still, make an appointment with him for a face to face chat. Write every problem down, then write a solution for each problem (tip: you're always better going in with solutions to problems).
As pointed out, yes you are entitled to post what you like and have an opinion, but you seem most vehement in yours and repetitive.......doing this on here is getting you nowhere really is it. Why not physically take up the mantle of your argument on behalf of many others and most importantly yourself to the people that matter.
-
FOr those who think I am JR love child or something here is something a little negative!
I agree with all before that if the club are relying on one form of media alone ie. the internet, then they are on for a disaster of epic portions!
Especially when people are use to June and renewal forms plus freeby!

I did email, and posted the reply on another thread. I replied, it was read and that was it.
I'm putting together something for gartom which i'm hoping he can pass on to JR and the like. It consists of problems I have encountered previously, and ones I have noted that have been posted on the forum over a vast amount of time.
I agree Cusworth, bitching on here will achieve nothing. Its frustration more than anything as for everything we have achieved on the pitch, we throw away because we make mistakes our can't market the club properly.

No probs having a bitch, a whine and a moan. We all do it. There comes a point though, where you say..... well I write and feel that strongly I ought to do something myself, or push my argument to the people that matter ie take up the baton. I'm sure many would back you, or offer their concerns for you to take up, if you arranged a meeting with whoever at DRFC.

Dont worry folks, I left JR in no doubt as to the ST cock-up that has been created, the depth of anger /frustration from the fans, the shock of being personally excluded / advised about ST's, and the lack of follow-up we are now experiencing.....By all means have a meet if you like - maybe some face to face reinforcement might help - just copy me in on any feedback !, Cheers, Gareth

Back to the subject title. )This question is specifically for Gartom)
Are hard copies of the ST renewal forms going to be sent out? I would have expected one to be landig on my doormat by now, seeing as the announcement was put on the Keepmoat website on Sunday.
