Title: From the Bristol forum
Post by: DonnyNoel on March 06, 2010, 05:26:00 pm
Easy game of bingo this week for the first spot of \"We should be beating teams like this easily\" along with a random \"we can't defend against 442\"....

\"With all due respect to Donny, they should not be able to come here and score 5, its just an embarrasment, after the Cardiff showing i really thought things couldnt get much worse....at least they were a top 5 side....this is an all new low, major setback after some improved performances.\"

\"Cardiff was bad enough.....now 5, at home, to Doncaster?? give me a break.\"

Lol. They want Johnson out. Another sacking caused by us?

My favourite is:
\"This is getting embarrising. We should be beating teams like this easily.\"

Oh my aching sides. Teams like what exactly?

I'd be embarrassed about the spelling - they should be proud - their full back got a sort of hat-trick!

Team above them is clearly what they are meaning and they are dreaming!.... We are not now or have ever been the peterboro/plymouth/fowls of this league and after the times we have played them over the years you would like to think they would have took note of the kind of football we play and our results against other teams.

Hey, I hope everyone keeps saying this for years to come. The longer we play teams who expect an easy ride against little donny, the better it'll feel when we trounce them!

In my lifetime, apart from a brief flirtation with the old Division 1 in the late 70s I think... What have Bristol City ever achieved? Sorry, but there are so many apparently sleeping giants around you wonder who's watching the f**king beanstalk?  I tell 'ee... there's going to be slim pickings this panto season....

\"That was shocking again today. It wasn't as if City were up against a top side but City made Donny look like world beaters. They ripped us apart with some schoolboy defending and in all fairness some clever Donny play.

Four goals in the first 15 mins promised a decent, flowing game but that was as good as it got and in the second half City didn't create one chance despite all the huffing and puffing. The managers substitutions were baffling and caused an angry reaction particularly when JCR was subbed.

Johnson simply has no idea and its even clearer now after todays shambles that he is out of his depth. If he offers his resignation to SL then I hope our chairman accepts it. The boo's echoing around AG at the final whistle sends a very loud message.

This isn't the first tme we have been embarressed by Johnsons tactics/substitutions. Surely enough is enough.\"

Ever since we signed Heffs from Bristol City, I have formed the opinion that a number of their fans have become antagonistic towards us, so it doesn't surprise me that they have said what they have. What we also have to consider is that they have been heavily beaten, so frustrations are going to be high!

Well done Rovers, nice to get a win there for the first time since 1983  :cheer:
