OK so its non league - but for those not going to PNE and looking for an alternative there is a Unibond top of the table clash between Retford and Boston United this tues night.
Both teams pushing for top spot, previously drawing 1-1 at York Street (or Batemans Stadium).
I see that Retford are appealing for extra Stewards and offering free entry and expenses for willing volunteers as they are expecting a large contingent from Lincolnshire to descend.
Boston will bring a good few hundred and will easily outnumber the home supporters - should be a good entertaining game.
-
Retford actually beat Boston 1-0 in the first fixture, so Boston will be looking for revenge.
Another thing that makes it interesting is that Paul Ellender, once a chief tormenter of Rovers in our non-league days, plays for Retford so will be looking to get one over on his old club.

You are quite right re result - i stand corrected.

No worries, my future father-in-law is a season ticket holder at Boston so I tend to keep an eye on their results, plus with me being from Retford that was a result that sticks in my mind!
