Before someone says this should be 'Off-Topic' i know....
We all moan about the club, its wage structure, the singing (or lack of it), the colour of the clubs news kit, the season ticket fiasco....but next time spare a thought of how lucky we really are. Being an ex Army lad it brought a lump to my throat.
A young 20 year old lad by the name of Liam Laughan who was from Doncaster was killed in Afghanistan, leaving not only his partner but 11 week old baby that he never got to meet, whilst protecting and fighting for his country.
I never knew him, someone on here may, but like i say all the problems we moan about become irrelevant when something like this happens, RIP soldier, time to come home, your mission is complete.

RIP Liam Maughan
My lad went to school with him, apparently he`s got a 2 week old son he`s never seen, f**king tragic!
-
A very good point Muff-My thanks and respect to the lad and our condolences to his family. :(
-
My thoughts are too with his family, what is the chance of us holding a minute silence for him on Saturday.

Isn't the Derby game a 'Help for Hero's' match? i.e servicemen and women get in for a discount.
Pretty appropriate for minutes silence I would have thought.
-
Either that or a minutes applause, as they are doing us proud in a fight no one wanted.
RIP Liam and Thank You for your courage
