The ticket office staff are making it very difficult for them.
Apparently they are insisting that you have to be present at the season ticket office to renew, even if you live 150 miles away as someone I know does.
No option for him to renew via phone or post he has to physically go to the ticket office himself.
He can do it on a match day, but only if he gets there before 12.
Why are things made so difficult?

I thought you could sign all the forms, put your bank details on, and then send that via the post?

Me too. Maybe he has been mis-informed?

I've never had a problem re-newing. I've sent the form, with a cheque (or I've paid over the phone on my card) and a copy of my son's birth certificate in the post. Depending on if the ST book is ready, I've either picked it up at the main reception a before a game at the back end of the season, or they've sent it by recorded delivery.
I've bought tickets over the phone and on-line for cup and away games, and for friends without any problems. I've even arrived at a game without my ST book, gone to the ticket office and sorted out getting in to the game quite easily.
