Bit \"Emperor's Clothes\" to say this - I reckon MM was over-rated.  And a good bit of business to sell him at that price.  In a SOD team his distribution was wanting too.  It was clear he wasn't top drawer when we played Villa in the League Cup - Carew out-muscled him and out-footballed him.

Liked his bird though.

When we talk about Scunny's ability to pick up decent strikers it seems we have the same talent with centre backs under SOD.

Mills
Hird
Martis
Shackell
Ward

Not to mention Greer and JVN looked comfortable, just didn't get the games and Locky was a DP signing but still obviously a solid player. With each CB he signs the Mills sale looks like good business (although the full details of cash + add ons probably won't be fully known).
