Title: Too Risky?
Post by: Yorkshire Lad on March 28, 2010, 01:06:07 pm
Looking at the next two fixtures - Plymouth then Blackpool which are in the space of two days. Would the Plymouth game be a a wise idea to give the likes of Fairhurst Mutch etc to brush down their boots and to start in the line-up against Plymouth and to rest the likes of Copps JET Woods etc for the Blackpool game. Or would that be gifting Plymouth 3 vital points?  ;)

it is too risky, the dream is still alive for us and they are fighting like beavers.

I'd like to have seen Spicer given a go if we end up with nothing to play for, but it looks like that's the end of him at DRFC now sadly.

Did you see  Spicers recent performances  for  the  Rovers?

Bit unfair, seen as he hasn't had a decent run in the team this season bar the first 5/6 games.

I thought he was very good last season and if we are to give some fringe players a go, I'd much rather see Spicer on the pitch than Mutch.

Madness- we don't get more points for beating Blackpool than we do Plymouth! Put out the strongest available team in both games and go for six points!

exactly, we have to go for it in every game from now until the end. strongest 11 out every match, if we pick up injuries along the way, then obviously its just not ment to be, but now is not the time to be messing with the team. if we were in barnsleys position for example where realistically we had nothing to play for, then by all means have a tinker, but as things stand, no way.

I'd certainly rest Woods as he doesn't seem to be with it, the others need to play both games though   :silly:

The Plymouth game is a dangerous one, they are fighting for their lives & is a must win for them. Anything less than full strength & 100% attitude we will come unstuck.
