Interesting ;)
-
I for one hope he signs a new contract, think he has been brilliant this season and we would struggle to find a similar player within our budget constraints. I think new contracts for Oster and Wilson should be very high on the priority list, there will be a lot of other clubs sniffing around those 2.
-
One thing that worries me in that article is this.....
\"Rovers, who are only six points off the play-offs, have put all contract negotiations on hold until the end of the season\"
Surely we should be negotiating player contracts now with clauses for other events if they happen? I would hate for another Greeny situation with a player.
-
I was more worried about the \"Wilson has been a virtual ever-present in the Rovers team during the three-and-a-half years he has been with the club and is seen as a key figure in Rovers' success in recent years.\" bit.
Tells you all you need to know about the amount of research that this particular FLJ did into the piece. Its a load of old cack.

Over 90 starts and at least 30 sub appearences, i would say thats quite a lot really.
-
Let me get this straight - we presumably now have Wilson Haters, and Wilson-Hater Haters.
People's Front of Judea anyone?

Imagine if it was James Hayter!
We'd have the Hayter haters, and the Hayter-hater Haters. ;)

Touche fella doffs hat!!! pmsl!!!

Who hates Wilson? He's lovely. He's done a splendid job as 'that bloke in midfield who rarely puts a foot wrong' or 'that bloke in midfield who rarely puts a foot right'.
Hey, love him or only just marginally like him, he's done a job this season in the absence of the injury-prone Stock. Our position in the table says we're NOT carrying him, and he's actually a decent midfield player. I know it's hard to believe, but the facts don't lie.
My own take? SoD plays him, so he fits and stays until someone better comes along.

Hardly anever present though, is he. He plays when we have injuries to our first choice midfielders, otherwise he sits on the bench.
Not knocking the guy; he does what he does and I dont expect him to skin 3 defenders for pace, dummy the keeper and set it up on a plate for Billy to tap home. As a spoiler who can be a proper nuisance he does the job well.

I can't stand player haters. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Tha shizzle. For real, aaiiiigggghhhht. Peace out.

Here's the correct headline:
FLJ so FL that he simply lets player's agent write report.
Call me an inveterate cynic but the lad's contract is up in 6 weeks so it's scarcely surpringvthat an agent would be peddling this sort of tale is it?
