And 9300 sold for tomorrow so far. Not too bad, but could be better. Those Blackpool tickets are on sale today too, ticket office has normal hours.
-
Really? Nice of them to tell us that.
I've tried ringing Blackpool today to see if we will get any more and if it we will be able to buy on the day but there is no answer.
Does anyone know?

it says on here that the ticket office is open today

Did they suddenly wake up this morning and decide to open it, because it didn't say that yesterday, and it stated Blackpool tickets will be off sale as of yesterday.
I'm trying to get a definitive answer as to wether tickets will be available on the day or not.

I think the definitive answer you`re looking for is not the decision of DRFC and the KM ticket office, you need to talk to someone at Blackpool.
As for the KM ticket office, hasn`t it occurred to you that they may have realised that there was some confusion over whether the ticket office would be open today, so they may have asked the staff to come in today.
Moan, Moan f**king Moan!

No, maybe they just cannot organise a piss up in a brewery. Any business would have taken the decision some time ago, wether or not to operate on Good Friday. If you had ready my previous post, no one is picking up at Blackpool. Their own fans also don't know.
Plenty of fans on here have asked the same question, and I know several who haven't yet got tickets who wish to go. However, they're not going to travel on the assumption you might be able to get tickets.
On the other hand, results go our way and we win tomorrow, I can see a hell of a lot turning up without tickets regardless. If they can't get in, it could be a recipie for disaster.

From DROS
Blackpool (A), Monday 5th April 2010, Coca-Cola Championship, 3:00pm KO
We have received an initial allocation of 1000 tickets from Blackpool.
Season Ticket Holders are reminded that you MUST produce your book when purchasing away tickets at the Ticket Office / collecting tickets that have been ordered by telephone. A \"like for like\" entitlement applies. For example, using a Junior Season Ticket book only permits the purchase of a Junior ticket for the away matches.
Tickets will be available to Season Ticket Holders from Wednesday 17th March.
From Wednesday 24th March to Season Ticket Holders, Members and Rovers Alliance Members.
General Sale will commence Monday 29th March.
Away Rover tickets will be held until Monday 29th March.
Please note that tickets will be taken off sale at 4.00pm on Friday 1st April
You see it did say Friday it also said 1st April which was yesterday, so anyone with half a brain would probably check with the Ticket office to clear up any confusion that the statement gave. But some people just try to moan about everything!
-

The fact no one is picking up the phone at Blackpool is hardly rovers or the ticket office`s fault is it!

Ah but, the ticket office's website itself said they were CLOSED today and that tickets went off sale YESTERDAY. anyone with half a brain would assume that they weren't opening today.
Listen Filo, you obviously have some kind of gripe with me, and that everything is perfect in your very shortsighted world. Why not take a step back and think, its little things like this that put floating fans off attending. You are really very naive.

Not naive mate, i`m fully aware that at times the right hand doesn`t know what the left hand is doing at the Ticket office and Rovers, it`s your constant moaning on here about everything that`s pissing many people off, if you`ve got a complaint, take it up with the ticket office or rovers.
Me, i got my Blackpool tickets yesterday, because of the confusing statement on DROS, maybe some of your friends could have done the same, instead of getting you to whinge on here
-
Unfortunately, I work 30 miles away from the ticket office. I don't have time to be phoning and hanging on hold. Today is my only day off, I could have gone and got a ticket if i'd have known in advance the place was open. Instead I have arranged for family to come round, and I don't have time now to go down before they close. People I know are in similar siuations. I'm glad you had the time to go down yesterday, I really am.
If its pissing you off, don't read or reply to my posts, simple. The fact that you do leads me think you are trying to get a rise out of me.

If I had a gripe with you, I wouldn`t post things like this to try and help you would I?

Ok Filo, point taken. I'll hold my hands up to that.
I'm not moaning for the sake of moaning, don't misunderstand me. Our club has many shortcomings off the field that never seem to be addressed. You can see it more when you run your own business, and think how you would do things differently.
We need to sell as many tickets as possible for income for the club. But we make schoolboy mistakes that costs us revenue in the end. Even if we lose one ticket sale, it is bad.
I'm thinking about the club. If we can stop the cock ups and mistakes and communicate better it would benefit everyone.
Now, how about that. Moaning but with a positive ending. :)

http://www.keepmoatstadium.com/ticketinformation/index.php
It says the ticket office is open Good Friday and Easter Monday.
That information has been there since at least Wednesday when I checked.
-
MrFrost wrote:

Thats simply not correct. The ticket office opening hours clearly stated that they would be opening today. It did, however, say that the Blackpool tickets would come off sale at 4pm on Thursday, which has now been changed to read 4pm Friday.
Another point on away tickets. As far as I know, DRFC don't get a penny for selling these. In normal circumstances, a club selling tickets for their away games will get a commission from the home club for doing so. However, it is the SMC, not DRFC, selling our away tickets, therefore I believe the SMC will get that commission. So, it does not matter to DRFC (in simple financial terms) whether or not one less ticket is sold!
-
So in that case then, should DRFC not care in what manner away tickets or sold? The club should work WITH the SMC and ensure they're working relationship is a smooth one. At the end of the day, Joe Public doesn't care. He is buying a ticket for a Doncaster Rovers game. not an SMC game.
These problems have been apparent for a long time now. You only have to look back at this forum. People not being sold tickets because they're not on a database, rude staff, misleading information, early bird deadline's not being communicated.
It isn't difficult to fix the problem. Everyone with eye's can see where the problems are. It so frustrating why both DRFC and the SMC just don't seem to bother to correct or learn from thier mistakes.
-
I bought an extra ticket for WBA and 2 tickets for Ipswich today over the phone. I'm picking up fron reception tomorrow.
I was answered in 30 seconds flat too.
I wasn't sure if they were open or not either but I think that far more people in South Yorkshire have Monday & Tuesday off at Easter than in other atreas, that's why I rang on spec.
-
Blackpool tickets have now sold out. No indication if there will be any more available on the day.
-
I spoke to someone at the ticket office yesterday about Blackpool tickets and opening hours. Told me ticket office was open for normal business today, but that the unsold Blackpool tickets were going to be taken back to B'pool after the office closed yesterday.
-
Well they're all sold out now, so I guess anyone travelling on Monday without a ticket is chasing a chance.
-
MrFrost wrote:

However, the information on the Keepmoat website does say an INITIAL allocation of 1000 tickets, not a total allocation which suggests others may be available ?
-
http://www.fansonline.net/blackpool/mb/view.php?id=331415
A donny fan on there says there aren't any more, and one or two of their fans think its to save on steward and police costs.
-
Ive just read on another thread that there are apparently 400 tickets put aside for 'pay on the day'.
-
yeah i put that as that is what i was told when i rang blackpool up on wednesday
-
If thats correct, will 400 be enough for the day?
-
well surely that is the point in getting them in advance
-
Not everyone is able to though, and as it has shown there wouldn't have been enough in advance for everyone who wanted to go.
-
Has there been any away games this season that hasn't been pay on the day, apart from Toon?
I'd always assume you can pay on the day unless you are told differently, but that's just me.
-
I think the problem is that we have sold our allocation for a certain area of the ground, to allocate us any more would mean opening up the temporary stand, and having to staff it.
-
spoke to the Rovers ticket office today at 3.00 o clock and was told all Blackpool tickets sold of initial allocation, but there will be a pay on the day cash only turnstyle at Blackpool .
-
Thanks Paul. Should be a good few go on the day should we win tomorrow.
-
this game should be a fantastic game of football, and im gutted i cant go. i just hope tomorrow isnt a banana skin for us :(
-
Just a worsd of warning. When Bradford City played there a few years ago, a lot of them with tickets went for a pint and when they returned were refused admission as pay on the day had filled it. I think it was a couple of hundred that didn't get in. I know it led to a lot of heated coprrespondence.
-
I remember something similiar when we played there in League 1 idler. Loads went for the weekend in March, anmd it sold out and I think some didn't get in who had tickets.
-

At the minute in believe we are in the golf stand and been told by staff at blackpool it will be upto the police on the day if they want to move us
-
Hmmmm. You see, their forum suggests they now allocate 1000 in the stand behind the goal first, then open the side if there is demand.
What do the tickets say? I dont have one.
-
The tickets definitely say unreserved, uncovered seating. But they were on sale before the new stand was officially open.
-
Rigo have a read what other people put. Your another who can't bear a word of critisism about anything.

There's criticism and then there's OTT whinging about anything and everything. You specialise in the latter without a shadow of a doubt!
Is that a fact. Well I'm sorry Mr Perfect. Like I've said previously if you don't like what I have to say, don't bother reading it or replying. My persona ain't ever going to change so like it or lump it.

Exactly the same information I received on buying tickets today, it will be pay on the day with a cash only turnstyle.

let's spread the word and get a really good following for the lads on Monday because they will need it there.

Persona?
I always suspected as much.
So you mean away from this forum there could be a chirpy, lovable, cuddly likkle MrFrosty that wears daisy chains in his hair and perhaps enjoys going to roller discos, playing games of Kerplunk, and making farmyard animals out of felt?
Is your MrFrost forum persona a form of escapism from this happy life, whereby you feel renewed and vital by subjecting us lot to your relentless daily misery?
:P
-
So it has resorted to petty name calling now rigo?
-
Think of that as a compliment
-
off topic but if anyone is going to the pleasure beach in blackpool make sure you book online as is about half the price as just turning up
