He's not in the same league as Mike Newell though, who still holds the record for the fastest Champions League hat-trick at 9 minutes.

Rooneys not fit to lick the crap of the soles of Messi's boots.

Messi is simply in a league of his own.

The frightning thing is he can only get better as he's only 20. Wait until he's 27/28 and in his prime    the mind boggles on what we will see then.

Tonite showed why Messi can`t be considered the best in the world, Inter gave him no time on the ball and for large parts of the game Messi went missing, give the lad space and he`ll do damage but get tight to him and he runs out of ideas!

mourinho'ss (sp) just a tactical genius. Whats that now, eight years plus without a home defeat?

I honestly thought(with the way Barcaa destroyed Arsenal) that they would end the special ones home record tonight, but no....

Are we saying that Mourinho is a better manager than Messi is player?

How can you compare a manager and a player? Its impossible. I think certain managers can stop the likes of Messi.

Strikers can't just gey by on scoring goals y'know. They've got to track back and make selfless runs for other players as well. Anyway, them goals were 2 weeks ago. The past dunt count for owt.

I think (somewhat sarcastically) that was his point.

Mourinho has been beaten at home in the Champion's League when he was at Chelsea. Barcelona did them 2-1 at the Bridge in 2006. Charlton beat him on penalties at home as well in the League Cup. Mourinho's incredible home record is for domestic league games.

Yes Inter stopped Messi tonight. But if he's the great people think he is he should help Barca get through in the home leg.

The true test of Mourinho's capabilities will be if he can halt Messi and co. in the Nou Camp.

If not, all tonight will be forgotten and people will suddenly think Messi is world class again (as if he suddenly stopped)

When Lionel Messi was running Arsenal ragged in the Nou Camp a fortnight ago (doesn't seem so impressive now after watching Wigan do it last Sunday,) I recall him missing a bit of a sitter, not long after he'd scored his second goal.

I could just hear a voice in my head from the Keepmoat: \"bloody 'ell, he's rubbish- get 'im off O'Driscoll!\"

My thoughts exactly! One man doesn't make a team; they closed him down, put bodies in his way and gave him no room, eventually he dropped deeper and deeper throughout the game.

So, it's not another loan signing then :-(

Damn, I can't believe I fell for it.
