Title: Concourse Televisions
Post by: biggle on April 10, 2010, 08:38:52 pm
What is the point of them when at half time (at least for the first ten minutes)there were no scores from anywhere else. Also on at least two occasions noticed before the matches started that they were giving out stats for the wrong game.

They should get sky sports news on too, far better.

At a night game earlier in the season (think it was Leicester), they were showing Holby City on one of them!!!   Not sure what it was all about.

My only criticism of them would be that during midweek games they never show the scores from other games. I presume the company who runs the score service must only run it as a Saturday Service.

Errm yes they do show scored from other games in midweek.
Although I have noticed for the last few weeks that they have shown the wrong stats and tables.

The people you need to speak to are Lakeside IT who provide this service for the stadium.

I think lisencing laws prevents SSN from being shown in councourse areas .

At the last home game (Plymouth) they had one TV in the East Stand concourse showing Sky Sports News, albeit a small portable TV and not plasma.

Don't they have plasma's in the East Stand?
mush, it depends where you go. I've seen it in some stadiums, but im sure there's some kind of fee to pay if you want to show it.
I don't mind what we have on the tv's now, if they can get it work properly. I like the fact you can still see the game if you go early at half time for a pint or whatever.

Do what we do. Walk up and there are these buttons on the side, press them and they turn the telly over. It's the future....and I see the end of remotes

Well yesterday in the East stand they had SSN on the plasma TV screen and they also showed the grand national on another screen.

To be honest, when I'm at the match I care little about the tv but more about socialising, each to their own I guess, but does it really matter?
