So Frank you wanted to put the Daffodils on the grave of Doncaster Rover at 10 to 5.
Well Frank your 12 years to late you ignorant TW@T. :(
I hope this time next year your beloved WBA are well and truly buried, rooted to the foot of the premier league, because believe me Frank on yesterdays showing the only BOING BOING BAGGIES BAGGIES you'll be doing is bouncing between the divisions. :)
Enjoy it while it lasts. :P

i highly doubt that frank will be looking at this forum.
also, im pretty sure their boing boing baggies chants are in direct reference to the fact they bounce between the divisions, look at their placings for the last 7 or 8 years.

I think you'll find Zebedee was an Albion fan, hence the chants
-
did that just spring to mind ?

It seemed like a tongue in cheek light hearted quip to me. Three Lions and Fantasy Football League means he's still a top bloke in my book.
-
Seems an odd attack on Frank Skinner, what do you expect him to say? It was just a light-hearted comment, jeez. The man's a great comedian, really funny and Fantasy Football League was awesome.
And I'd love to know what the original poster thought the 'boing boing baggies' chant was about. O_o

Really? You honestly think that??
Stand up Comedian? - Failed.
Chat Show Host? - Failed.
Latching on to David Baddiels career to grab some limelight? - Success!
-
I think he is a great comedian too, and his success with Fantasy Football League was in no way down to 'latching on to Baddiel.' Unplanned was also a fantastic show which I really used to enjoy.
He must be doing something right anyway, he's sitting on a fair bit of dosh.

I don't care what Frank Skinner has done, his comment was very disrespectful considering our recent history, and if he's that clued up on football he would have known better than make a remark like that.

The \"Boing Boing baggies\" chant is based on this 1992 Crock of shite, and as nothing to do with the fact WBA bounce between the Premier and championship on a yearly basis.
In my opening post i was using it just make a point, as i was taking the p#ss just like Frankie boy.

Fair enough on the 'Boing, Boing Baggies' point, but I don't think he was being disrespectful to us, and our recent history doesn't really come into it. He just said it, would've said the same regardless who WBA were playing that day. I just don't think what he said was anything to get offended about, that's all.
And I think the daffodil was for Marek Cech, he said so afterwards. :P
And ThinWhiteDuke, yeah, I find his stand-up funny, and I loved his Fantasy Football League tv show. To each their own and all that.

Although it quickly became synonomous with their ability to get promoted and relagated with relative frequency due to a quip on local radio:
Boinging originates from an innocent remark made by Malcolm Boyden on WM when,as a reporter on one of our games, he said 'the Baggies are boinging their way to promotion' (in 1993). The Brummie Road took it up,and the rest is history.

I was at college with a Baggies fan in 1993-1994 (it was an adult education college full of ex-miners for anyone who thinks I am trying to disguise my age) and went to watch a match at the Hawthorns, so experienced the Boinging firsthand - and the ground did shake, it was impossible not to join in as the terrace moved under you. As far as I could make out under the 10 pints of Guiness and thick Brummie accent the explanation he gave for it was \"Ims cos weems alus gowin up and down, so weems guss up and down an for un\", or words to that effect.
