Only been given 2020 tickets.Do then not think they can sell all the away end ????
-
I guess NOT
They average around 6000 including away fans (7945 against us) so if the away contingent is lets say 1000 then they have a home support of 5000
So to sell 2000 tickets 40% of that support would need to travel the 13 miles \"over the border\" and they rarely DO although they have a hard core of supporters as with most clubs that go to Plymouth Swansea etc in good numbers
The floating fans will wait to see next weeks result v Bristol City and if they dont win / or other results go their way then that too will affect how many tickets they take up
-
I hope they sell them all - though I doubt they will, rarely have I seen a town who couldnt care less about having a football club - and people moan about our fairweather support.
Atleast if they sell a fair few I can take some pleasure in watching their yellow belly faces when, hopefully, we relagte them.
-
I think they filled the away end last time they came.
-
Am I the only one who actually wants them to stay up?
-
I DONT want them to stay up but that is my often mentioned £20 on them to go down talking
Plus a £10 treble on them down Burnley down and Hudds Town up
Both bets are shaky at best !

No you're not! I want them and Wednesday to stay up so that there are more derby matches. Having said that though, I wouldn't lose any sleep if they were relegated.
-
I've just set my roots down in Scunny, so im actually coming round to not completely hating them all the time, i actually hope they do stay up.
-
I want definitely want them to stay up. It's a decent local derby and if next season proves to be tougher, they'll make good contenders for one of the sides we ought to be able to finish above.

It's a tough job that missionery work, I hope the charity you work for appreciate's your efforts

I think they will stay up, its good to have an away game thats 20minutes to get to. Parking is good, plenty of food outlets and the games I have been to have had great atmospheres,as for there support per head of population they are better supported than Rovers.
-
Scunny will be okay. To be honest I'm expecting them to beat Rovers given our form.
I have a feeling Wednesdays are probably for the drop, the blades aren't under pressure and don't need any motivating to beat their cross town rivals. There is a theory Cardiff might be saving themselves for the play-offs but I think they'll just be too strong for Wednesday anyway.
It's going to go down to the last game of the season and Wednesdays will need a win to send Palace down.
-
I think Scunny will be safe because Palace will beat them to the drop.

So you think the Wendies will pick up 5 points from their last 3 games, Biggles?
I doubt even Mr Irvine has that kind of faith.

Yeah we put them to shame with us not filling the away ends at Millmoor, Hillsborough or Oakwell in recent seasons. For the crowds they get at home shifting 2000 tickets would be a decent following.

Thats rubbish. For their catchment their support is abysmal.
They have pretty much the whole of North Lincs to tap into, I mean cmon - you can hardly call Grimsby or Lincoln serious opposition can you?

Immingham - Hull, Grimsby, Scunny....even Donny
Crowle/Axholme areas- Donny, Scunny
Gainsboro- Lincoln, Donny and maybe Scunny
Everything else is a small one horse village. I can't see what they can tap into, other than Scunny itself
-

Don`t forget Cussy you`re from the Scunny hotbed of Thorne, i`ve seen a Scunny flag on a flagpole outside that house that used to be a shop on Kirton Lane
-
lol Thorne isn't a hotbed of Scunny fans, unfortunately however it does have alot of Leeds/Man U fans
The majority of football fans in Thorne are Donny however. And next time I'm down Kirton Lane (my parents live on Grampian way) I'll make sure to set that \"iron\" flag on fire ;)

They've sold just 500 up to now, very poor really that.
