Potted a total of 22 balls
Highest break 17

He's just gone 5-2 up against John Higgins in the second round with a century!
I hope you're going to make a grovelling apology to the ginger magician when he gives Ronnie a good hiding in the final. ;)

I think the nugget is determined this year. He is talking like a warrior, whereas in the last few years, he's been happy to go out with a whimper and continue commentating.Last throw of the dice, maybe?
PS I'm gutted I read this thread. I left the action at one all, before I switched to watch the scouses.I was hoping to watch the snooker highlights without knowing the current score, my bad, my bad :(

Jay I think Ronnie has his work cut out to beat Williams next tbh

Sorry I spoilt that for you but opening the snooker thread when you don't want to know the score? Schoolboy error. ;)

Unfortunately I've not seen anyone's matches except for Davis so far due to work. I should have a quiet few days now though so I'm sure I'll make up for it.

Odds before the game:
Higgins 1/25
Davis 10/1
Higgins was in unusually bad form for this match. B)
If you browse the highlights on youtube there are many, many examples like the one below.

Marvel at the look of sheer disappointment on the face of 'The Wizard of Wishaw'.
Note also the look of disbelief from the guy in the audience after the shot.
Meanwhile in a totally unconnected development... (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8656905.stm) ;)

Snooker....a brilliant cure for insomnia.

A couple of things about the Higgins scandal has left me scratching my head.
Firstly, why would a multi-millionaire put his career on the line on the sake of £260,000?
And secondly, I wouldn't have thought the frame by frame betting was a very big market so any big bets would have stuck out like Alan Irvine at a Manager of the Year ceremony.
