Title: Rovers Shafted Again by TV
Post by: RoversAlias on April 26, 2010, 10:43:43 pm
Yep, three games to choose from, and the one that will miss out is us. Blackpool vs Bristol C announced for Sky next sunday, obviously the BBC will go with Palace at Wednesday.

I don't think I'm being biased when I say that the Swansea-Donny game has a better chance of being a good game than the Blackpool-Bristol C game.

it`s all about where the celebrations will be, obviously there`s going to be emotions at the opposite ends of the scale at Wednesday v Palace and Blackpool are favourites for the last play off places

Until we get some of those contracts sown up, it's probably a blessing in disguise.

Couldn't care less whether we are on TV to be honest.

Me neither.

We don't 'thrive' when we're on the box too often. Stay off the box and let people wonder how a 'small team' like Doncaster Rovers can survive in the Championship without any Billy Big Bollox type players or managers.

A little mystery can work wonders at times!! (Cue JR/plastic surgery threads      )

I was watching the Palace game so I saw them announce it would be Blackpool on Sky on Sunday. Where did you see it announced that the BBC game would be Fowls v Palace? I can't find it anywhere.

I have to say that's probably what will happen, but until it is officially announced I'll cling on to the hope of watching Rovers live on Sunday.

I reckon there's a good chance of an online stream of the Swansea game.

Sometimes Sky show two games on the smae channel \"via your red button\". They might have us as the second game or cut to it if Blackpool go behind, thus making the Swansea result important.

While we're on the twin subjects of Late Kick-off and being shafted by the BBC. I've just watched this week's edition in i-player and, guess what, we don't appear to exist again. OK, we got the standard BBC highlights of the game but the inquest from Mr Mowbray and his chums included a feature on the Owls, reflections on Barnsley's woeful season, Paddy Kenny's return for the Blades and a celebration of Scunny's survival and comments on how brilliant their front two are. Not a mentions of the red and white hoops! First time I've ever bothered looking up this utter pile of c**p, will definitely be the last.

In fairness, we've been featured several times this season on Late Kick-Off. Ive not sen it the last couple of weeks but they featured us against Barnsley and Sheff U, they also did a feature on our goalkeepers in one of the first shows, a feature on our match at the prison and a feature talking to John Ryan IIRC. We can't get huge coverage every week on it.
