Title: Swansea Teamtalk
Post by: big fat yorkshire pudding on April 29, 2010, 09:56:19 am
I think all SOD has to do is show them this from the Swansea captain.

ALAN Tate admits the odds are stacked against Swansea City going into the final weekend of the season — and is confident only that Paulo Sousa's men will get their job done.

Swansea must see off mid-table Doncaster Rovers at the Liberty on Sunday (1pm) and hope that another team with little to play for, Bristol City, can chalk up a positive result at Blackpool.

If Swansea win and the Seasiders draw or lose, Sousa's side will be in the Championship play-offs.

But Tate, who lifted the Evening Post player of the year trophy last night, conceded: \"We need a bit of luck. I can see us doing our jobs and beating Doncaster. I'm sure they will say that they are going to come down here and give it a go, but they have got nothing to play for.

\"It can only be in the back of your mind, but we have got to hope they've got one eye on the beach.

\"The problem is that we are depending on Bristol City. They might have one eye on the beach as well — and they will certainly be playing on a beach at Blackpool.\"
