To be released soon from someone who sees the players everyday

It was going round on Saturday. I wish him the best of luck for the future, he always gave 100%.

Oh you mean SEAN McDaid.
Can't please you 'better fans' than I, can we? Bet you'd like to see the same 3k crowds at Belle Vue again wouldn't you?

Just out of interest, when was the cut-off point for the \"real\" DRFC fans and those of us who've only been coming a few years? When will we be classed as proper supporters ? or do you have to have been coming since your dad fetched you at 2 year old? Wierd mentality this \"bandwagon\" crap!
-
:(

Barmby I guess you didn't put enough laughing smilies for some people. Couple of bites to the fisherman though ;)
Ever heard of a joke guys?

Most football clubs in our region have been pulling generations of fans in since post war. Us on the other hand went down hill for a couple of decades.
90% of football fans don't need to justify themselves as they support the same club all their life, whereas we have a lot of turncoats paranoid about their support.
I say justify yourself.

Hmmm Fulham game last night, commentators kept mentioning than not many years ago Fulham were at the bottom of the football league, no money and 3-4,000 fans rattling around in the ground. Last night the place was packed to the rafters. Does it bloody matter when and how you came to support the club you do......No! Sick to death of these silly bandwagon threads...pointless.

Here we go again questions on who is the best supporter.Just one for Barmby rover how many home games have you missed this season.
-
I realised it was a joke, an unnecessary one, however.

Another stupid question, i've missed every home game bar one this season. Infact, i've missed so much football over the last 4 years it's untrue but it makes me no less of a supporter than the rest of you. It's not easy having to \"watch\" the game from the radio or on here, it bloody well hurts like hell, but i shall have my time again very soon and i can then start calling myself a \"proper\" fan again.
-
Same here Nudga. Its a habbit and a good one! one you miss, and ache for, but life ebbs and flows. One min your carefree, with season tickets for myself n my boys then divorce shift work and your down to 5 games a year! things will change but im still a supporter to say any different is insulting.
On Shaun. We viewed his house a month back, wasnt sure if he would be getting a new contract but didnt say owt on here at the time. Shame, always liked him as a player been unlucky this yr. Nice addition to Rothers in L1 anyone???
-
As I understand it a 'Fan' likes something, whereas a 'Supporter' supports it.
-
Aren't we all getting so defensive! I wouldn't be bothered myself how long I had been going, but then I am quite secure about who I have supported for the last 40+years. Don't let it get to you Adam, it wasn't meant as a personal attack.:)
Aukley I am in a similar situation where circumstances dictate just how often I have been this year, and that now includes transport problems to compound it all. I am lucky that I have made some good friends through Rovers so I have seen about 60% of the home games this season, but it might be less next season. Despite its faults thank goodness for Player being available, roll on October when I can start to see things beginning to improve a little bit!
-
The reason i asked you is some time ago you and tinwhiteduke questioned my support for the club this is not the way forward ,we all support the club the best we can.Would it be a good idea if we welcome all rovers fans on here not just the ones who have been watching 40 years.
-
I've only been supporting Rovers for the last two seasons and have always felt welcome here. Guess I'm just lucky I was introduced by a 40 year supporter!!!!
Mind you I did have a serious run in with the 'Carling' some months ago. It was rather funny really ....
