Informed by a reliable source (works at the club) that Sully has played his LAST GAME!!!!!!
and Smithy will be in goal at Swansea
when asked 'do you mean he is leaving?' the reply was.....no comment!!!!
Don't shoot the messenger, wait till Sunday to see if Smithy is in goal, then believe it.
-
This would not surprise me - if Sully has played his last game for the Rovers then Thanks Sully for everything that you have done to put the club where it is today - good luck in the future - except if you are playing against the Rovers that is.
-
Is it becuase he's lost his passport meaning he can't get out of Wales after the game?
Or can he not be bothered getting up at 5:30am on Sunday morning like the rest of us?
Or has he suddenly become a devout Christian and refuses to play on Sunday?
Is he injured?
Is it Ben Smith's farewell appearance?
Has SO'D organised a betting scandal in the far east that will rock football. Rovers will lose 4-0 (typical when Smith plays) to a team that hasn't scored more than three in one game all season?
Has SO'D organised a betting scandal in the far east that will rock football...Shefki Kuqi will score  ....a hat-trick

He could play Smith too see if he's up to the job with it being the last game of the season?

Ben will be in goal on Sunday but it doesn't necessarily mean the end of Sulli's Rovers career.
-
Yes, that the one. Apparently the hair grows across the goalmouth and repels any attempt to force the ball over the line. A clean sheet every game is a great platform to build on. In fact SOD is considering going the 0-3-7 formation as a result.

Could it be more like the end of Bens career at Rovers?
-
That's a more likely scenario.
-
Surely Gary Woods should get a run out then?
-
We will miss Sulli when he goes. I'd put him up there with the best player ever for Rovers?
For me we will miss him commanding his area :(

Sure we'll miss him, but there's many more keepers out there at the moment who look decent, he's been a good servant.
But as for commanding his area? Have you not noticed the toes of his boots are covered in the white paint from the goal line?!!
-
I can't see that happening; surely Sully will be subbed off on Sunday to get the ovation he deserves (from the 370 or so of us). Give Woods a go, Ben Smith has got to be on his way in the summer.

The rumour is that Ipswich are going to release Richard Wright on a free...perhaps he'd like to revive his career at the Keepmoat?
-
Looks like we may have competition for Burch.

He would have to take a massive pay cut if came here, apparently he's on 15k a week at Ipswich.

No Sulli in the squad today?
-
Jeff Stelling just said on SSN that Smith starts in goal for us today.
Surely if it was to be Sulli's last game, they'd start him and then bring him off so he gets a good send off? It's the least he deserves after the service he has given this club.
-
hes not even on bench? seems very strange
-
It doesn't really. Final game of the season, nothing to play for, Sean can afford to reward the 2 keepers who have sat on the sidelines all season.
If anything, it is more likely to be Ben Smith's last game IMO. Why would he drop Sullivan completely if he was leaving? It wouldn't make sense.
