1) Thats the first season ever in the second tier where we managed a positive goal difference.
2) The highest percentage of draws we've got in the second tier. Okay, big deal.
But the most important stat is this is the highest overall position in all the leagues (32nd) since 1901/2 when we were 25th. In 1950/1 we finished 11th in tier 2 but there were 22 teams in the first tier, so that was 33rd overall.
Congrats to all at the club on a great season. Looking forward to pushing the record books further next season :)

Plus we are now a league higher than the piggies for the first time ever

Here, here. Great season. So optimistic and excited for next. Really hoping for a positive close season where we hold onto key players and add further quality players to the squad. Keeping hold of the management team would also be essential of course!
I can't wait. The season tickets look like essential purchases for those who can afford to!

Have really enjoyed this season. To do how we have without key players for large chunks of the season is brilliant.
Looking forward to the world cup now and all the transfer talk and rumours concerning Rovers.

Top half finish!! Superb
-
great season and hope we get the rovers marketing people into gear if not its a job for the vsc to get flyers in place with information about season tickets and information for the first game which should be surely at home his season and get more bums on seats for next season. if we could agree with the club to get £5 off with production of the flyer? with the world cup break it gives us time to come up with ideas and get volunteers in place to hit the streets of donny. rovers till i die. :cheer:
-
Now that the prices have gone up, why not print a £10 off voucher with the flyer !!
-
And congratulations to Dean Shiels on his 50th DRFC appearance today.
-
Great Season and congratulations to Ben Smith for keeping a clean sheet.
-
I echo all the congratulations dealt out so far.
What a season, we continue to break down the barriers. Who would've thought that we'd finish 12th at the start of the season? Mills & Wellens had gone with no visible replacements, and a lot of people predicted a worse season. Those who doubted us have been proven wrong again, a brilliant effort by everyone at the club.
Roll on August 7th!!!
