Surely we should be made to swap places with the Wednesday, after all they have bigger crowds and better tradition than us in our poxy 15k stadium!

To say they had to win, they were garbage. And David Hirst said they were playing well for this season
-
Cue chaos on Fowlstalk and footy heaven.
Well at least they will keep their big Sheffield derby for next season.................................... Rotherham v Wednesday at Don Valley :D :D :D :D :D

Was Tudgay playing?

Just browsing the owlsmad forum, reading a thread about the snooker scandal and came across this.
There are some real crooks in professional sport Reggie, it's a disgrace.
Today I saw this fella called Marcus Tudgay pretending to be a Championship quality footballer .... twas scandalous I tell thee.
Made me laugh anyway. :)

Wonder if we'd appeal to Varney, he's always looked a good striker and he's only on loan to the fowls from brizzle isn't he? Worth a punt?
-
They play him as a left midfielder though.
I still see him in my mind's eye carving us to bits for Crewe with his curving runs and lightning pace. Playing in that Wednesday side must knock the stuffing out of you, as he is a shadow of the lad he was 3 years ago.

I know SOD's reticence in playing 'out & out' wingers, but Jermaine Jackson has real pace. Worth a punt?
Under SOD's tuition, he may be able to add more to his game than simply being a wide man.

SOD is undoubtedly a genius. However, I think even he will struggle to turn a 55 year old, retired American singer songwriter, with no discernible history of involvement at any level or in any form in association football, into a pacey attacking option with plenty to offer in the second tier of the English football pyramid.
So, no, not worth a punt.

By all accounts Wednesday have agreed a signing for a young Korean striker called Lee Gwan
-
Plus, American middle aged singers are notorious for bottling it on big occasions. Remember Diana Ross's penalty miss at the World Cup?
It affected her so badly she never took another penalty ever again. She's no Stuart Pearce.

Billy Joel would fit in well with our squad. I reckon he's at least 55cm tall. However, if he so much as blasts out uptown girl when defending a free kick or starts telling the ref he's an innocent man after conceding a foul, I would tell him to his face 'Joeeeeel, noooooooooo'
Having said that Hall and Oates in the centre of defence together. These guys have cleaned up some real rough estates.

According to Jonathon Ross, he plays in goal for them already!
