Title: Coleman doesn't cut the mustard
Post by: 5minstogo on May 04, 2010, 11:38:57 am
Sacked by Coventry.  Seems strange as I heard he was being lined up by Swansea who expect Sousa to be Premiership bound.

I would have thought Cov would keep Coleman on contract so they could get a bit of compo!

Odds from their forum (no idea on the source)

1. McAllister G 5/2
2. Dublin D 4/1
3. Cotterill S 5/1
4. Curbishley A 6/1
5. O'Driscoll S 8/1
6. Ince P 10/1
7. Brown P 12/1
8. Jewell P 14/1
9. Burley G 16/1
10. Megson G 16/1
11. Howe E 16/1
12. McParland I 25/1
13. Southgate G 25/1
14. Tisdale P 25/1
15. Wilder C 25/1
16. Foyle M 25/1
17. Money R 25/1
18. Adams T 33/1
19. Shearer A 33/1
20. Hughes M 40/1
21. Sheringham T 50/1
22. O'Leary D 50/1
23. Tilson S 50/1
24. Barnes J 66/1
25. Roeder G 66/1
26. Souness G 66/1
27. Keegan K 66/1
28. Mourinho J 500/1

The top 2 are obviously club favourites but have no major credentials.

Rule out SOD due to 6/7 figure compo and I reckon it could be Cotterill (who I believe is only on a short term deal at Notts County?) or Curbishley. Based on nothing of course!

Not wholly unexpected as they nose dived big style towards the end of the season. On the plus side it may mean they are no longer interested in Jon Stead, who I would love to see in a Rovers shirt. On the downside, the rumour mill will start to churn with SOD again, as it will with every managerial departure this summer!!

Why would Sousa be premiership bound?
and to who?
