Title: Awsome at Peterborough
Post by: selby on May 05, 2010, 09:27:34 pm
Exodus Geohagon released by the Posh after the game he had against us would he be worth a go as a man marker in front of the back four.Plus every throw in from half way is a bomb into the box.
With Sods coaching ability I would go with this one he could definatly make his mark at this level and for not a lot of money.

Posh fans say he's (and I quote) \"the worst defender they have ever seen.\"

I'm usually in favour of taking a chance on an available player, but I think this may be an exception. It's a no thanks from me.

He has a long throw and that's about it. If we get JET back next season we don't even need that! Bare in mind he played for Kettering Town until January, he isn't up to standard and we only need one centre back-hopefully one from Wolves who's name begins with 'J' and ends in 'ason Shackell'.

Spoke to some of their lads outside the ground after the game and they were not impressed. Said he was a waste of money and they only paid about £50 for him!!!

I think someone mentioned this on another thread, but I'm pretty sure he was playing in front of the back four as a holding midfielder against us.

Talk about a physical presence. The blokes massive. I don't remember much in the way of silky skills, but he did a cracking job keeping the likes of Woods, Oster and Sharp quiet that night.

Not sure I would like to see fifty long throw ins every game though.

To be fair to the lad he had a great game against us at London Road playing as a holding midfielder,as the OP says maybe SOD could get the best out of him in that position. We already have a dodgy centre back on the books!

Just thought that he gave one of the best individuel performances of the season against us and would be worth a short contract to see if he could do it here.
Where he has played his football before in non-league doesnt come into it as Coppinger was from Exeter and its a good job he is not out of contract it would not stop say Derby would it.

We may have signed Copps from Exeter, but he only spent one year there and came originally from the Newcastle academy. Plus we were only a newly-promoted League 1 side when he came in.

Geohaghon has played only a handful of games (apparently badly) in the league, and has come up three leagues from the Conference. His former clubs are Redditch, Bromsgrove and his first club...the mighty Sutton Coldfield. He isn't worth wasting our time.
