Title: Will Hoskins.

Will Hoskins among a trio of players set to be released by Watford. I think he could do a good job for us. Not sure whether wages would be an issue, but surely he won't be on so much that it is out of our reach seen as we have got out 'biggest budget ever.'

Others set to be released include Jay DeMerit and Jon Harley. I think Harley is probably past it, and DeMerit will be on a fair wage. Plus, there will be bigger clubs after him I expect, although he is the sort of player that we could do with.

I was thinking about Hoskins the other day. He seems to have lost his way a little so maybe a move back north and a bit of SOD magic could be just what he needs.

We are desperate for strikers when you look at the current make-up of the squad. Hoskins' move to Watford hasn't worked but he must surely be worth looking at as a 'free' transfer option, along with other options of course. We cannot just sign one striker this summer.

Hoskins was as prolific as Sharp when they were head to head in League Two. Doubts will prevail about his record since moving to the Premiership (probably too soon) but he wouldn't be the only player to struggle at one club and resurrect his career elsewhere. Sharp's return to form with us is great evidence of that.

I agree, got to be worth a look at, dependant upon wage demands. But as Jonathon says above, we've put ourselves in the shop window for players wanting to resurrect a career, with Billy and Oster.
