Wondered if anyone on here follows this programme religiously, as I do?

It's one of only 2 shows (the X-Files being the other) that I have bought the box sets of each series.

I will miss it when it's gone that's for sure.

Ditto. I was a massive X Files fan also, although they ruined it all for me with the shambolic second film.
I hope that if 24 makes its way to the big screen they will do it justice.

But the point of 24 is that it happens in 'real time'...how they supposed to do that in a film which will be 2 hours or there abouts ? How can they have a 2 hour crisis ?

They did the one of 24 Redemption which was 2 hours in real time.
The move has been greenlit from what I can gather, and a script wrote, and they've said it will take place over 24 hours but cut down to fit into 2.5 hours.
Must admit though, I thought this season was garbage until the point where Hassan was killed. After that it has become by far the best yet.

Watched 1-6 + Redemption but then had to get rid of Sky. Got season 7 on box set for Xmas but haven't watched it yet. By the time I do hopefully #8 will be out at a reduced price!

Have to admit I've loved a lot of US Series over the last few years - 24, Dexter, Band of Brothers, Simpsons.

I'm currently enjoying Stargate Universe. It's been pretty good so far.

It's the final Ashes to Ashes on Friday night too. And Lost finishes next Friday as well, although I haven't really gotten into it over the time it's  been on.

Series 7 is good, but it leaves alot unanswered, which haven't been answered in the final season. They must be waiting for the film or the finale next week.

Alot of people I know gave up with season 8 after the first 7 or 8 episodes, because it is very boring, but don't stop watching, it gets immense!

Thanks, will do.

I actually downloaded eps 1-6 of series 7 but gave up on it as couldn't get into it and despite the change of setting and involving the FBI I still found it a bit \"samey\" to some of the earlier stuff:

\"Oh he's a loose cannon\"
\"Yeh but he gets the job done\"
\"True but he is a loose cannon\"
\"Yeh but he gets the job done\"

But then I suppose thats due to the fact there were lots of new characters to introduce to Jack whereas the earlier characters - Chloe, Bill, Tony, Michelle, Curtis, Palmer all knew him well.

Maybe now I've got the box set and can watch it over a shorter period of time I'll get into it.

They're all good but I liked series 3, it was real fast paced stuff from the start - almost like an old computer game that as he killed a \"boss\" he progressed to another level to find an even more dangerous enemy!

Season 7 has a good twist at the end which explains everything from seasons 5 and 6 and who really was behind Palmers assasination etc, and what Tony is really up to.

Some of the new episodes in season 8 are like scene's from a Saw film. Its fair to say Jack goes on a bit of a rampage like never before.

To be honest, i'm expecting Tony to reappear somewhere along the line

Sorry, I got confused.
I think Tony will be in the film. Cant see him re-appearing in the last episode when it hasn't mentioned him all season, although it would be nice.

Never got into Lost so can't comment.
Who'll be watching the 24 finale on the net tomorrow? Or will you wait 2 weeks for it to show on Sky?

I said goodbye to him a couple of weeks ago.
I'll look forward to the film though.
