I was pretty sure it opened on 1st july  :S

I don`t think it`s very good to be overweight when you`re a footballer  :laugh:

I thought it was already open. Shackell signing for Barnsley etc.

I think the free transfers start on 1st July which is when contracts start / end.

I always thought that clubs can bid and sign players at any time and get all the contracts and paper work sorted but the transfer will not go through officially until the first july when the transfer window opens.
