hes decided to leave burnley as they failed to offer a two year contract, afta his performances against us last season, i would love to see him here this season, real quality wide player. im not sure if hes got 2 years left in him at this level, but surely would be a quality signing, but yet again hes probably asking for stupid amounts a money a week.

good player and good footballer in a SOD styleeee.
I'm not sure he has the legs/work ethic that Sean likes of his players....also I would prefer Copps, behind the striker before him.

Too old!

No thanks. The last players who wanted a last big pay day with Rovers were Dyer and Horlock, look how well they did!

I thought Horlock was awesome before he got injured, by far the best player on the pitch at that time

When he was on loan yes! But then we signed him and he played 2 games in 2 years!

Hardly his fault he had a bad injury is it?

Horlock was 33 or 34, so is Blake. I just don't think Blake is what we need, that's all.
-
NOt Horlocks fault he got injured but at that stage of a career the wear and tear is more likely to take its toll. I could see Blake being another Gareth Taylor (don't tell Rigo!). If we were to go in for him I'd want a deal weighted heavily in favour of appearance/goal bonuses which is probably the same sort of thing Burnley were looking at hence Blakey walking away, bottom lip trembling, shouting \"I'll get you next time...\"

Blake may go back to Leeds !

I hope he does. 2 seasons ago was his last hurrah. A Burnley fan I was holiday with last summer thought they should have parted company this time last year as the cracks were showing then (after an admittedly long season for them).
If he came to us (or anyone in the CCC for that matter) he'd be a sub at best.
