.....then they will have 3 strikers who are capable of scoring 75 goals between them in league one (Sharp 31,Paynter 26,Becchio 18). That could be still a lot of goals in the championship next season.
I dont think we can compete with the money sheffield are asking.

Sharp would get about 10 for Leeds, Paynter will be lucky to get 5 at this level and Becchio will get around the same as Paynter. So you lot should finish around 20th if you're lucky.

What do u mean 'you lot'? Im a donny fan through and through.
My guess is they will have the most potent strikeforce in the league next season if Sharp goes there.

After being here only a month.....you clearly are a Leeds fan or to some extent like them since you create all these Leeds threads which could be in post form to the billions of Leeds threads

To be fair to Donvicks, he/she does post Leeds related stuff, but to my knowledge has never received a single official complaint, let alone had one upheld. They are not offensive, dont go shouting the odds, etc.
Cant see why folks get hot under the collar.

Hardly set the world alight at the blades another so called \"big club\".
As long as SOD is at the club we will have a hell a chance for the play offs and beyond.

I would imagine that Sharp will go to either Donny or Leeds, Leeds will probably be able to offer more money, but the question is how much he enjoyed his time at Donny and whether he's prepared to sacrifice money for that (probably not, knowing modern-day footballers).
If Sharp does go to us I reckon he will score plenty of goals though, depending on how well we strengthen midfield. Wouldn't mind someone like JET (maybe we can take him on a season-long loan ;) )
I see Paynter being good for 15-20 goals, but I think he'll be asked to play a different game at Leeds if Sharp does come on board.
By the way, mate of mine is a Rochdale fan, so I'm a bit naffed we didn't get Kennedy (if rumours are true that we were in for him). Mind you, I'll believe things first when the pen's reappeared. Silly season is here and most of the rumours are probably crap anyway, Leeds being in the market for 6-8 players will mean we are linked with everyone who is remotely available. Only confirmed rejection so far appears to be Eustace.

I really cant see a lower league journeyman with 1 good season behind him getting 15-20 goals.
That would obviously put him with the top scorers this season. I just cant see it.

A couple of you want me banned for posting Leeds stuff.? If you look on say the first 5 pages of this forum and go though some of the posts there are a lot of Leeds related posts made by other members on here, posts of which ive never even contributed to that particular thread.
As RobRover said ive never posted anything bad.I hear a lot of gossip from work which apparently is in Leeds and from Leeds fans who work with me. Some of them are Donny related in regards to the Billy Sharp rumours.
The day i get offensive then you can call for me being banned but I have never done that once.
Some of you need to chill.

I love how this 'donvicks' actually thinks any of us care, it's pretty dull really isn't it. I'm sure if he's a Rovers fan he has some great memories of stunning goals or has he finally admitted he isn't? Proof will be in his reply to this statement.

I don't mind at all the stuff you post DonVick. If I don't like it, I can always press backpage. as it happens, I do like it: not for the Leeds content, but for the ability that you, Edwin and Welligogs offer for us all to climb out of our bunker and recognise that there is a world outside that might just think a little differently. As far as I'm concerned, this narrow minded tribalism breeds groupthink gone mad. And, as my current employer is handsomely proving, groupthink is all you need for ultimate disaster to follow.
So carry on all you guys. We don't have to agree with you. But we really should recognise that there are entirely different, and equally valid, views out there.

I tend to agree with you on this one Bob, just how long has this forum been just for Rovers supporters ? Never as far as I'm aware, I also use the Yorkshire forum and the views of all the region's fans are welcomed however ''biting'' they can be at times.
Going down the insular route would imo make this and other fora poorer and less interesting places to visit.

You are both right, there is nothing wrong with fans from other clubs posting on here. However why can't Donvicks just stop taking the piss and admit he supports Leeds? He is taking the piss out of all of us.

To be fair to the poor bloke, it is possible to have a passing interest in another team whilst remaining loyal to the one you love... and lets face it no matter how much you all hate it, of all the teams we will play against next season more words will be written about leeds than any other... Seems to be the way of it all.
