I know one thing, USA would never have had the possession gifted by our overpaid superstars after the Gerrard goal. It was like watching Rovers back in the Conference years, go a goal in front then launch it forward or defend into row z if there is an opponent within ten yards of you. I honestly thought with a foreign manager we would see a different kind of England team technically & mentally, I thought it was like watching a Taylor club performance, we have learnt or changed absolutely nothing. Our inability to keep the ball & find space not to mention be comfortable on the ball is alarming. I must have been watching a different game to the panel or have been spoilt by our style of football, but that performance was very very average. Also, yet again, Lampard showed all the capabilities of a pub player.

I think SO'D would have been pretty scathing about the way England squandered possession. I'd love to see him as a World Cup pundit- he'd be so much more insightful than the \"usual suspects\" on the panels- although you'd have to turn the sound up when he was speaking!

Terry, £150,000 a week, hoofs the ball in the vague direction of Heskey, £100,000 a week, who fails to control the ball.
There you go - English football ... bankrupt of ideas, and going bankrupt.

I`ve been saying it for a long time, Lampard is an average Midfielder, he appears better than he is at Chelsea because he has truly world class players around him, covering up his inabilities

Lampard can shoot but that is where his talent ends. He also thinks that his name should be automatically on the teamsheet every game. We've got better, more hardworking midfielders in the squad who would do a much better job.
