Dont know if this has been mentioned in the last couple of weeks as i have been away , but a member of staff today confirmed we are having Nike kits next year. Club shop to close shortly at the ground so Nikes team can go in and revamp and rebrand it. A few companys bid for the contract but only Nike could meet the timescale the Rovers required.

Excellent news , hope the rest of the clubs clothing range gets a much need quality improvement.

Any chance of them doing the same to the ticket office as well?

Believe it when i see it i'm afraid. Never thought i'd see the day when we had a first rate kit manufacturer, would have preferred Puma but will do bloody nicely for me if true.

This year's Puma kits aren't as nice as previous ones! Happy with Nike, if it is true.

Maybe we can expect something like this next year?

I wonder if it is like Celtics new one??

Must admit I dont like the neck/collar.
Prefer Hamiltons but Nike dont like straying from their templates too much.
I think Scunny have gone with NIke as well

I hope we don't get that god awful pattern you can see in the Celtic shirt. They seem to be doing alot of those 80's type patterns on shirts.
Plain red for me. No nasty graphics please Nike.

would be nice to see.. i thought puma with this new stlye which the african teams at the wc are trying having the right shoulder with just red with the badge on there would be cool like this:

The sponsor free shirts you mention are probably kid's ones, as you aren't allowed to sell kid's shirts with alcohol or betting sponsorship on. It's been the same for Liverpool, Everton, Cardiff, West Ham etc in the past. Either that or some sort of retro shirt with no sponsor. I'm pretty sure it would be in any sponsorship agreement that any adult shirts sold by the club have to have the sponsor's logo on!
Also, CoventryRover mentioned he preferred the Hamilton design to Celtic's...Hamilton are also made by Nike so I'm pretty sure they'd be happy to use that template ;)

Won't the Nike shirts have to be based on the same design as what Vandalise produced last season??
When the 09/10 home shirt was released, it was also announced that the kit would remain for two seasons; therefore meaning that we wouldn't be due a change of design for the home shirt until next summer.
Do these exceptional circumstances with Vanalise going down the pan change all of that - or will the new manufacturer release a shirt based on the same design as the 09/10 home shirt, before coming up with a brand new design next summer?
Would Vandanel's design not be copyrighted ? Would Nike copying that design violate the copyrighted design ? Unless Vandanel give them express permission to copy their design ?
Can't see it affecting Nike, i'm sure they'll be free to produce a shirt to any design they like

Surely the fact that there is a new sponsor on the shirt means the design has changed?
