Apologies if this has been aired in another thread, but the parallels to events in this World Cup and WW2 are uncanny....

... the big difference is that at least Scotland wanted us to win in WW2

Oh, I forgot to mention that the other stark contrast was that we didn't have Mussolini running the show ! :laugh:  :laugh:

So it's a USA-Japan final and an explosive finale?

According to your analogy, the Japanese should start carting off Koreans to brothels any time now and the defeated Germans should emigrate to Argentina. Should be an interesting couple of weeks
