I no the signing of sharp is great news for the rovers
but if sharp is on much higher wages, rumoured to be 14K a week at sheffield united but if hes taken a cut of only a small percentage of that.
could that cause problems in the squad if lets say sharp is on 9K or 10K a week and others are on 5??
unless of course hes took a big wage cut to come to rovers

I don`t think players wages should be discussed on here, thats a personal matter between the players and the club, we don`t really need to know what wage they are on

The players should be happy to have someone of Sharp's quality in the team!

Agreed. Although I'd like to think Sharp has taken a cut, with perhaps beefed up goal/promotion bonuses.
-
the one thing i do find amusing is that every time his wages are discussed, they go up.
when he first came everybody was saying he was on about 10/11 a week at sheff u.... lol

I cannot believe that we would have gone to the lengths of signing Billy if it was to be a problem. SO'D is very loyal and would not wish to cause any disruption. I feel that the more likely story is one of the players wanting the board to give assurances of ambition (Oster springs to mind).

I think that the players would have been consulted about this before Sharp was signed.
The last thing any manager would want in his team is unrest towards a new team member
about wages. I would think all this would be sorted before any decision was taken.
I also agree that the bigger players coming in also raises the profile of the other team members if that team does well.

Its a win win situation for all Sharp paid good money to score goals-win games = cup runs = promotion playoffs = more money = bigger payouts for players.
-
He'll be on at least £120 a week.

It never ceases to amaze me how people on here have such a fascination about who earns what and why it should be a problem that player A earns more than player B
How many of you on here know what your colleagues earn?
Does it bother you?
A football club is no different to any other company.
Would you be happy if your boss told all your work mates what you earn?
So who gives a f**k what Billy or anybody else earns.
Not me. As long as he does what he is paid to do that's all that matters.
