TBH I think he deserves it, some of the refs at the WC have been shocking.

His kids and my best mate's kids go to the same school. Had a few chats with him and he is, indeed, a top bloke.
Not only delighted for him, but the 2 Linos too who have been on top of their game all through the tourney.

Im really pleased for him, seems a nice enough fella and is the best ref we have by an absolute mile.

Didn't he referee half of our friendly with Wolves last season?
Yes. He, Mark Halsey (pre cancer) and A N Other, used it as a warm up. I'd never seen so many top flight refs at one game.
