Not in the final four teams, but I would have chosen Gyan from Ghana. What a cracking lad to have up front for any team, never stopped trying and his ability to go for goal was impressive.

Schweinsteiger for me. Hard to believe he's still only 25 as he's been around for ages, firstly as a winger but more recently a composed central midfielder.

Plus he gets bonus points for his name - translates to something akin to Pig Rider/Raiser

Forlan for me too... seemed to be a general consensus on Twinty Tin (http://twintytin.wordpress.com/2010/07/13/twinty-tins-token-team-of-the-world-cup-piece/) as well with thee of the four contributors choosing him in their teams of the tournament.

Gyan seems to be the target for Liverpool now, it will be interesting to see the effect he has if Torres seems to be defunct due to injury yet again. What an expensive passenger he has become, despite all his talent.
