I don't know about others, but I was under the impression he'd already signed. However, if he hasn't then let's hope its done. Until its announced officially, then, we'll have to wait and see.

There's still news to come out about the two/three possible loanees joining us and, again, I'm assuming that one of them must be a CB(?) and the other one we can only get on our knees and pray for (or whatever else it is that people do when hoping for some really good news). Which leads me on to a topic that's already been discussed on other threads - what's left after that? Assuming Woods does not opt for leaving, to either Preston or QPR, I think we look pretty good in midfield, except for (arguably) 2 things:

1. Someone with out-and-out pace, and/or
2. Someone who is the big physical destroyer type.

It's debatable whether we can do without the two things named above, but it would be handy to have either or both things in our locker.

The other aspect is the fact that we still have 'the biggest budget that any DRFC manager has ever had' at our disposal. Maybe there is another sneaky incoming permanent deal still to be announced(?)

Up to now, we're down on squad numbers, that's a fact, but the signings of Friend/Sharp/Gillet and the promise of more to come is great news. We still have to ensure that the new boys gel with the others, but with SOD/ROK at the helm there's not much chance of that not happening.

SOD said he'd verbally agreed and it was just a matter of someone typing up the contract.

Alot of work, typing up a contract, making copies and putting some in envelopes and taking them all the way to the postbox. Oh, and all that business of putting stamps on the envelopes aswell!
