Walsall v Doncaster Rovers
Referee: MARK HEYWOOD
Assistants: Chris Knowles and Geoff Law
Fourth Official Alan Clayton

Biggest "homer" since the fellow who wrote the Iliad. Three yellows for Rovers and none for Walsall gives a hint, but the thng that really got me was the way he allowed Butler to manhandle Brown every time a ball was played up to him. Yet as much as breathe on a Walsall player and it was a free kick.
Not helped by a particularly inept bench-side assistant who also had selective vision.
Says something for our superiority that we won 3-0!
(Incidentally, I gave him a 2 on the basis that I am convinced I will see worse during the season! The other voter to date gave him a big fat zero!)

Looks lke you scored him the highest mark so far, Baroni.

Gave him a 2 but coulda maybe gone 3 - seemed a bit card happy towards us but I think he tried to let the game flow. We'll definitely see a lot worse this season!

FYI I`ve edited the title of this thread to include the Refs name for easy reference in the future

I gave him a zero based not just on his performance, but on his lack of fitness and over-reliance on the near-side "assistant" too.
Just like the JPT final, he seemed to want to let the opposition back in at 0-2, just to "make a game of it".

I thought he was a good ref, must have been the beers....
