Well I was going to give him a 2 but I deducted both those points for the performance of the West Stand Lino who only grasped the concept of offside when rovers were attacking the South Stand

It was a good job they didn't take the chances that lino gave them in the 1st half, there would have been a riot. They were literally yards offside everytime! And why oh why do some refs think Football is a non-contact sport? 5 yellow cards we got tonight! And Syers got one after committing one foul!

I gave him two but he was extremely poor. Wouldn't allow any tackling, missed an awful lot and did not book Crewe players for the same sort of challenges he booked our lads for.

I did think that a rudimentary knowledge of the offside law was essential for assistants but clearly not in the case of Mr Tyas. He also had a policy of ignoring anything that happened in front of him- including one blatant handball (outside the box).

The other AR looked as though he knew his job. Pity he wasn't allowed to referee the game.

PS- the person who gave him a 5 MUST have been from Crewe. Perhaps he's the ref's next-door neighbour.  ;)

Yet another referee who has clearly never played the game at any level. Why can't these officials understand that football is a contact sport? Just because somebody falls over doesn't mean it's a foul. One free-kick he gave in front of the East stand resulted from one of the Crewe players standing on Keegan's leg and overbalancing. It would be laughable if it wasn't happening every other week.

We have had many poor referees at the Keepmoat, but Mr.Duncan has to rank among the poorist we have had-this is not sour grapes that we lost ,just observation off his overall display. No points from me !
