taken from the DFP :

Doncaster: During the Sunday car boot sale at Keepmoat Stadium between 12.50-1pm a stallholder reported the theft of two mobile phones, a fridge freezer and a power washer as they went for a burger.

A Fridge Freezer is hardly something somebody can put under their jumper how did nobody notice?

A couple of blokes with high vis vests on, and something that resembles an ID card and no one would bat an eyelid.

Last year someone nicked a tractor and a bowser attached to it from Hatfield Pit during the day, the thief had a high vis and hard hat on and everyone on site just thought he was a worker when he drove off with it, thats how easy it is

Many years ago, when "Thorne By Pass" ( now M18 ) was being built, a guy turned up with low loader, loaded a caterpillar D6 on and disappeared . No one checked to see if he had the right. 20 years later it turned up in North Africa.
