We won at Bescot 3-1 in the early nineties. Rankine ran the show. Useless fact also was that game was the only time ever that the infamous Graham Poll was in charge for a Rovers match.

With you there 100%! I knew by your previous message to scaley that you're going with head over heart! Strangely enough, in my life, work and most other things I'm very much a logical, common sense head over heart person. When it comes to rovers it's completely the opposite! I always try to look on the bright side however difficult it gets at times!
As scaley said, I hope at least one of you gets it right - a defeat is unthinkable! If the worst happens then I will give this forum a miss for a few days or everything might just turn black, Johnny, black!!!!!

I think we'll park the bus and grind out a dour draw, surely the defence will be doing lots on the training ground this week and daren't be as bad as the last two games.
If we lose I fear for PD - if we do lose I predict that PD will be looking for a new job by the time I return from my holiday on Friday 31st - I don't necessarily think he should, but even my eternal optimism is being severely tested at the moment and, with a tough run of games coming up, I think it may well happen.
Here's hoping things have improved considerably when I get back and we're rising up the league, and not in the bottom 4 - I'm not taking my iPad so, in my 10 day absence........

I'll go first then - I'm a bit torn on this game! Dingles couldn't even beat scunny at home (albeit an improved scunny under robins) so if the 'real' donny turn up then we will win. However, the 'real' donny only turn up now and again and more often than not we get the watered down, less effective version which struggle to beat anyone. And will Barnsley react positively after Saturday? As I say, if the real donny turn up it won't matter. It's a local derby, so hopefully we'll be up for it.
So, after all that nonsense and overthinking I think I'm going to hedge my bets and go for another draw - but hope for a win!
