Friday game at Nuneaton off due to injuries.
I think Coventry have their share so probably mutual.

Agree with the edit. I realise it sounds like we've lost another player otherwise! Thanks.
-
We're going to be very underdone come start of season
-
And to think that we all thought we would be well prepared for the start of the new season.
-
Absolutely pathetic, are the players made of chocolate? 'melting in the heat'!. Nobody is fully ready when they start the first game, but we are going to be weeks behind.
It's beginning to smell like, the way things were, i hope i am wrong.

Rubbish I'm afraid Sammy, this is down to pure bad luck. Were you at the Newcastle game? No other explanation than misfortune for all those injuries. There isn't some conspiracy.
-
No i don't mean a conspiracy, i mean bad luck with injuries, stopping any sort of momentum. We have struggled for seasons to keep a settled side on the pitch, the newcastle game, i just can't believe the bad fortune.
-
You can't help being a tad pessimistic when this happens. Hope it proves to be unfounded.

Pre season is the time you expect little niggles, it's normal for a few here and there. Hopefully this is our bad patch for the season with injuries. Though i think we can put a good side out with what's available, even with everybody fit, i saw us being a couple of players short of being ready to start.
The club can't really do any other than cancel the friendlies, i would think a few are just pulls and strains, so they won't be out too long. The others are out for a while, that's football, you go with what you have.

Clearly Not

The team they put out at Norwich was more like a development side. I don't think they have as many long term injuries as we do, but they are definitely short of numbers.
Also they've lost two key men (Fleck & Vincelot) and not replaced them. One to watch.
-
Were going to have the most unfit players in the league going into the season. How many of our players have actually had a full 90 minutes in preseason?? There must be other players with little niggles for the game to be called off. We need more players in and we need them now.
-
Couldn't agree more with those sentiments. We seem to be delaying as long as possible with the loanees - surely, we must have an idea who we are going to get. They need to be in and start familiarising themselves with the rest of the team - they'll most probably be going straight in at this rate!
And this is supposed to be us bouncing straight back - not good prep for a promotion pushing season, is it?
-
You won't get loan players until the clubs have completed their own pre-season. There's a good chance we'll have a couple in next week.
We haven't had many trialists but I wouldn't be too surprised to see a few more in the coming days.
-
RB, there are teams in our division that have already signed 3 loan players!
-
Might not be any good though!
-
Is there only us that signs good ones? ;)
-
What I mean is that the better ones will be playing friendlies with their parent clubs.
-
Have the Premiership finalised their squads yet?

Have the Premiership finalised their squads yet?
They have until 24hrs of the summer transfer window closing on the 31st Aug.
-
Surely we should have had 6/7 lads on trial for these types of games?
-
We are in the line, waiting for clubs to decide who is being loaned, who is being retained as back up. We are one of many clubs, just waiting for the red button to be pressed, then there will be an avalanche of players joining every team on the teletext.
-
Eastender, I am sure I don't need to remind you that the season does not start on 31st Aug. We need players in ready to start next Saturday.
