Some great goals this season. Loved the Marquis one where he sat 4 or 5 defenders and then the keeper on their arse. Pure class.
What I did notice in that video is how much Coppinger and Marquis are involved. Nearly every goal they have a say in..whether it be assisting or the build up... or even finishing.
Great to see.

My thoughts exactly Balbyrover, Copps was instrumental in a boatload of those goals, either as an assist or scoring. Grateful thanks to Bobjimwilly for taking the time to compile and post that vid. Brilliant.

Brilliant. My favourite is the team goal v Portsmouth when Rowe smashed it in. Individual goal has to be Marquis v Wycombe.
As said above, Coppinger's contribution is immense. Sheer quality.
We now have two apprentices in the wings in Mandeville and May along with a master in McSheffrey to see the season to it's conclusion. Play in League One next season, we will!

Apparently it was given to Marquis in the referee's report, and he has been credited in all sources I have seen.

It used to be the case that in the football league it's up to a club to decide who scored a goal. Not sure if that still holds true.
In the Premier League it's a different setup, with the dubious goals panel etc.

There are "dubious goals" rulings by the EFL. In this case Rovers asked the EFL to rule that the goal belonged to Marquis and they agreed.
