Title: Houghton - The Club
Post by: karldew on March 22, 2017, 09:45:33 pm
Just seen this on Twitter;

Class by the club! Can't see why he wouldn't want to come back next season?, unless he gets an offer from a championship club..

Great by the club if he gets a chance to come back here or go elsewhere this may help bring him back here a lot to be said for having a stable surroundings.

It also may help get other up and coming Chelsea players on loan. Irrespective of that, it is a nice touch by the club.

I have been watching a heck of a lot of the Chelsea under 18s over last few months .

I don't quite know what Chelsea fc do with them at cobham but when they are ever up against whatever other under 18s team its men against boys.

The physical size and strength of them is scary  in comparison with all the other teams.

I notice the card is from Phil Ryan. Who is not a member of Rovers staff but the brother of John. You will see Phil at every Rovers match home and away taking photo's which he then gives to the club for their own use. Phil is a volunteer and a proper gentleman he will have bought that card then got the players to sign it. So well done to him.

But equally there is a letter from the chairman of the club, so credit where credit is also due.

Just on Houghton...Have I missed the actual diagnosis and timeframe for the injury and was it operated on???

This is a part of a  bigger engagement effort that's being underway a while now.

The players have really linked arms with the fans and all this contributes to that 'one-team' feel.

I love this sort of stuff.

I saw an Instagram post of Jordan's. He and his girlfriend were having a short break in Venice. He was on crutches so I think it will be a while before he plays again.

Based on McCullough he might be back around the end of the year.
