so - wrap up the title this season and we're the only team other than chesterfield to have won four x fourth tier championships; stars on the shirt when we became the first team to have done it three times in 2004, so can we look forward to a new adornment this time round too, or should we wait to get relegated and then win it again for the fifth time (by which time we might be playing catchup with CFC again as they look nailed on for relegation and another chance to win it in 2017/18...) ?

I don't think the star system works that way does it? A 4th division title is not considered to be the same as winning today's league 2. I'm sure that was the argument put forward when we last won this division. Or am I mistaken?

Why not? What's the material difference between the old 4th Division and League 2 - or for that matter when it was called Division 3 but was still the 4th tier - apart from a branding rename?
Shouldn't the League 1 title we won also merit a star as well?

We have been champions of the 3rd tier 4 times also.
That's 3rd div North and league 1.
So if we do it this season that is 8 titles in the 3rd & 4th tiers which no one else has achieved.
Come on we can do it.
As I have been saying for a long time now we will win the league by 10 points.
We must not lose today or that prediction will probably not come true.
A draw and I will still back us to win by 10 points.
COME ON THE ROVERS we can do it. :scarf:

Until very recently Man City had three stars on their badge, and they represented absolutely nothing.

You would have thought they would have Blue Moons not Stars as that is how often they win anything

Next season's kit? (https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/cc/7c/b9/cc7cb9d4a1710bdeeff1ebdda311d9db.jpg)

This is one of my fave all time tables :scarf:
Likely we'll be joint 11th after this seasson along with the likes of Notts County, Derby, Preston, Newcastle and Chelsea.

That is a brilliant table BRR - I have bookmarked it immediately

The promotions and relegations table is interesting too. We're already the club with the most promotions never to have played in the top flight. And after this season will be joint 7th in the most promotions and relegations, and joint 8th in the most promotions. Such a rollercoaster we live on!

Do people even refer to L2 as L2? I still call it the 4th division because that's what it is.

According to our wiki page that was the reason given for not allowing us to keep the trophy permanently when we won it for the 3rd time.

Especially the last 15 seasons in which (if we do go up this year) we are likely to have changed Division on 8 occasions (5 promotions, 3 relegations) - that is more often a change than not.

Brilliant table Brizzle :) Thank you.
And yes. It's the 4th division Gaz :)
Cheers
