Former Rovers right back of 1962-63 sadly passed away in hospital on the 6th May .

Expect there will some on here that remember him  as a wholehearted player .

Notification has already been posted on Derby County's web site .

My son does pat testing for a firm in Bradford. He always talks football and tells people proudly that he's a rovers fan.
One lady said my dad played for them he was called Tony Conwell. My son said that I don't remember him but my dad will.
I thought that he was a good full back and I was there too when he broke his leg. A lot of players were never the same again after breaks and cartilage problems in those days.

I remember he broke his leg at BV in fa cup match against Tranmere.

That was in 1962 and was the first ever Rovers match I saw.

RIP Tony, and sincere condolences to the family.
