Title: The Road to Wembley 2017/2018 is BACK
Post by: Donnywolf on October 24, 2017, 03:46:42 pm: So its Rovers away at Ebbsfleet in the First Round proper. So the Competition is ON.

All you have to do is try to predict your way right to Wembley without your Team being knocked out - because once you get one wrong you and they are OUT (We may need a Tie Breaker for the Final if 2 or more people make it all the way - or like last year we may need to restart the Competition if everyone is out before the Final like last year)

So simply choose whether Ebbsfleet or Rovers will win their Round One Tie. It does not matter what the score or whether it is decided at the first attempt or after a Replay or Penalties .... just choose the Team that will get to Round 2

We will then follow the Winners of that tie in the next Round (2) and continue right to Wembley with a bit of luck. Please get the predictions in prior to Kick off of the first game

I will publish a list of those who are through to Round 2 and it will be up to you to check back - await the Round 2 Draw and carry on from there

+++ Please make sure you predict in Round One to be eligible for the rest of the Comp +++

The Checkatrade game on Tuesday will be used for youngsters and fringe players. The bulk of the first team won't play again after tomorrow. After the FA Cup game they won't have another game till Rotherham at home.

Scunny v NTFC is played the 14th November - which gives us an 8 day wait - after which we will have another 18 days to pick a winner Rovers or opponents

If you wish to predict before the Replay please find your Ebbsfleet prediction and (providing you are not on the list above) "Quote it" .... and then add Rovers if you fancy we will beat either or Opponents if you think either of them will beat us at Fortress KMS !

I will go first to show the way !

This makes it easier for me as I dont have to look back to see a) if people entered in Round One which is a criteria - as you had to have one and b) to see you actually predicted (in this case) Rovers - and not that anyone would stoop so low edited from Ebbsfleet

The first few people did it that way and it has fallen apart - just makes it much much easier for me - and it will settle down when we have many less entrants ! Sorry to be a moaner but I did not want to type out almost 70 names when I could get the same result with a bit of a "plan" that worked

This is the messiest mess I have been involved in I must admit !

There were too many people to list as being through to next Round so I thought getting them to quote their Round One prediction would "prove" they had said Rovers and would work but I need to have that on every Page and even so it has not worked and I still have to look back

There have been people who have entered even though they were not in Round One but at least nobody has "edited" their losing entry and tried to get in that way !

It will get easier next Round ! Currently 36 Rovers v 13 Scunny Bunny and about 16ish left to predict so we will lose a few either way
