With quite a few players contracts running out in the summer including Joe Wright, Matty Blair, copps, butler and Baudrys, I hope talks are going on behind sceans to extend these, especially Wrights. Has anyone heard anything mentioned with regards to any players nearing the end of their current deals signing new ones ??

I think I read that we can invoke a year’s extension on Wright’s deal. In any case he deserves a new contract that recognises his value and standing as a vital first team player with huge potential.

You'd probably have to have a serious assessment of Baudry's injury prospects. Way Copps has been talking, this could be his last season.

How do you know, more than the erst of us, what goes on behind the scenes at the club and when??
Just because we don't know about it, or if things become public quite late in the day (Marquis??) doesn't mean it isn't being dealt with, FFS..!!

I’ve not claimed to know anymore than anyone, even though I do on most stuff. I’m just saying it’s not advisable to let the contracts of saleable assets run down, even into the last year.

But my point is still the same, the club is probably reviewing this and looking at contract issues all the time..

Wright will have other offers for sure, we will just have to hope he wants to stop with us.

Wright for definite and Baudry too, if we can get him for the right money based on his injury record.. Copps and Butler as much as I hate to say it o would keep the pen in the drawer,we have to look to the future..

sorry if it came over as an over reaction, but I find it very hard to believe these days that anyone would think the club isn't looking at contracts, out of the public eye.
Of course, issues may not be settled until what we as fans perceive to be late in the day..

yep but to be fair to the club if you looked at this board at the time ..We were demanding that we tied down our best young players..lol
I'm not getting excited about it either way...We are bottom half of league 1 and the vast majority of our players don't have resale value at all in todays transfer markets..Bottom line is that in all honesty we haven't got anybody on our books who I would be that devastated to lose..They are all replaceable in summer markets on free's...

I'd imagine talk in the boardroom would be a bit more relevant.
