We played a containment game at Bristol, we didn't have many chances but limited them. The line-up today looks a slightly more attacking one, which you might expect.

I would have Houghton as one of the 1st names on the team sheet though.

DF did say he would be managing the players over these few games..

Strong 11 and strong bench today..

Think keeping full fitness ready for the next few games was pointless playing copps on that pitch at Bristol. Beast has played a few games in a row so may need resting Jordan still recovering

Because you should play the team that you think is going to win. I really don’t get this don’t change a winning team fascination some people seem to have.

4 games in 8 days, the squad obviously needs to be rotated

It does Alan, happy to be wrong but if it’s changed on Friday and we lose I wonder if it will be pointed out.

After first saying we didn't expend too much energy today due to excellent game management Fergie said he has to look at the line-up for Friday.

Coppinger didn't even play at Bristol.

And we won 3-0 today so well done Fergie!

Sorry not using proper grammar hasn't helped me there

I meant it was pointless playing copps at Bristol due to the pitch

It worked perfectly only player who didn't have a great game was Dave so should now be due a great game

The “don’t change a winning team” idea is about 20 years out of date.

Depends whether it’s change for changings sake.

You play the best system that will have the best chance against your opposition and the players that you expect to do best in those roles. If that's different to the previous game then so be it. Just because you win one game you don't stubbornly stick by it.

Especially when were playing numerous games in quick succession, we obviously need to rotate.

Managers never make "change for changings sake", certainly not in the league at this stage of the season. They change a winning team to give the best chance of winning the next game.

Really? Managers are no different than anyone else they do what’s fashionable just like 442 fell out of favour.

Surely a Rovers win coupled with a mighty Glens last minute winner against the Blue S**te must be your best day in a while D3  :scarf:

These games over Xmas show to me how good Reggie is as a manager. He has got the team, rotation and tactics spot on and the team clearly are buying into it.

I thought Baudry was outstanding yesterday. He's given Fergie a problem there.

I thought Whiteman was very good and kept the ball moving and didn't give anything away. Was also prepared to have a dig when in range.

The opposition didn't test us too much and the back four looked comfortable. You can see why DF shuffled the pack a little to a more progressive line up.

There may not be too much more rotation for the next game.
